New Taylored Expressions Stamps & Dies by Heather!

Good morning! I'm excited about today's post, which features brand new stamps and dies by my good friend Heather Nichols! She's launching her first product collection with Taylored Expressions, and I couldn't be happier for her! I'm excited that her and Taylor asked me to help celebrate her launch by creating a few things using her new goodies. 

Heather has a few collections being released - I chose to work with her new Simply Stamped Feathers set, which includes stamps, dies, and a stencil. There is also a coordinating sentiment set called Wild & Free. 

On this first card, I used the Feathers stamp set along with one of the sentiments from the Wild & Free set.

The multi-step feathers are so fun with their different patterns - very fun to mix and match. I stamped them randomly to create a background. After stamping all of the feathers, I added some gold splatters, then cut a rectangle from the center of my card front.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card so that it would show through the window cut-out. I love that pretty sentiment!

I played around with a few techniques for my second card. I started out by created a colorful background using the colored salt technique I shared a while back. Once that was dry, I used the new Feathered Stencil to add a bit of subtle pattern.

For the feathers, I diecut them, then sponged with some different Oxide inks, then heat embossed the feather details with white embossing powder. I arranged them over the background and popped them up with some foam tape.

The sentiment I used here is also from the Wild & Free sentiment set. I stamped it, then heat embossed it with white. I added a few scattered sequins for a little shine.
