Papertrey Ink January Countdown Day 5: Circle of Life and Together Forever Blooms...

We have come to the last day of the Papertrey Ink January countdown and there are some pretty things left to show you today! We have a couple of floral sets, both have tons of different design and coloring options!

I pulled out my watercolors for both of my cards today. This first one uses the new Circle of Life set. There is in outline image of this pretty circular bouquet. You can choose to color it in, or there are solid stamps that match up if you'd prefer to stamp it. I chose to stamp it in Soft Stone ink to do some no-line watercoloring.
I didn't necessarily follow the lines exactly, I just went for a looser look. When I was finished painting the flowers, I did some wet-on-wet in the background for some softness and color. I also added in a few sequins for some sparkle.
Up next I have another watercolored card, this time using the new Together Forever Blooms set. Once again, I stamped the images in Soft Stone to achieve the no-line watercolor look.
Everything was watercolored using the wet-on-wet technique to get some really pretty color blends. I love how those large leaves turned out with the greens and golds! I also added just a bit of depth, shading, and detail with some colored pencils and white ink.
For the background, I stamped the outline floral images and heat embossed them with white powder. I added a sentiment from the Words to Live By: Smile set to finish it off, as well as a strip of watercolor paper, which was painted with a blend of the same colors I used on the leaves and flowers.
