We're introducing a new set by Lizzie called Home to Roost (adorable birdhouses!), this month's Shape Shifter, which is another circle, and some fun new dies by Dawn called Mix-Ups Pocket Tags (so versatile!) These new products will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on November 15th from Papertrey Ink.
My first project today uses Lizzie's new Home To Roost set, combined with elements from her Forest Floor: Winter set, which was revealed a few days ago in the countdown. There are both outline and solid images for the birdhouses. I had so much fun using the outline images and then adding my own details with watercolor. For the one I used on this card, I freehand watercolored some roses and leaves.
I hung the birdhouse from a cluster of branches and pinecones from the Forest Floor: Winter set. The cute red birds are also from the Home to Roost set. I stamped then in red, then brushed over them with a wet brush and added some shading with watercolors to give them the same look as my painted birdhouse.
The background was stamped with some branches from the Forest Floor: Winter set, which were heat embossed with white, then sponged over with some Broken China Distress Ink. The rectangle and pierced detail were cut using the new dies being released this month -- Nesting Basics: Rectangles and Nesting Frames: Pierced Rectangles. The sentiment that I stamped to finish it off is also from Home to Roost.
I couldn't let them go to waste, so I created some tags using the new Shape Shifters: Circle 4 die.
I cut the Shape Shifter: Circle 4 using all 3 of the dies from the set, and cut a second one to layer over the top, but this time incorporated the plain circle from the Limitless Layers: 2-1/2" Circle die set to cut a frame.
I nested the birdhouses inside the cut-out frame and added some greenery from the Forest Floor: Winter set, and a flower from the Floral Fantasy: Christmas set. The sentiment stamped around the top is from the Keep it Simple: Gift for You set. I just arched the stamp on my block to fit the curve of the Shape Shifter die. I added some red Nuvo Drops as well for a little finishing touch.

My next project is a set of gift card pocket tags using the new Mix-Ups Pocket Tag dies.
These are so fun and easy to make with the Pocket Tag dies. I topped them off with a big paper bow cut using the previously released Wrap It Up die set, and embellished the front with the snowman from Fence Line: Winter and some trees from the Enchanted Forest set.
