Happy Saturday! We're happy for the weekend around here, it's been a bit crazy. I bet you are too! I hope you find some creative time this weekend. In the meantime, the Papertrey Ink team is back for more projects and product reveals for the 4th day of the October countdown!
Today I'm featuring a set by Lizzie called Winter Window. I think you're going to love this one, I know there have been many requests for a window set over the years and Lizzie did a great job designing this one! You can see the stamps and dies in full HERE.
The new Winter Window set will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on October 15th from Papertrey Ink.
My first card using this set has a nighttime scene with Santa's sleigh flying through the air. The scene starts with that great window stamp and die from the Winter Window set. I sponged some Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist ink over the embossed snowflake background from the set onto a solid window diecut.
I also added the tree from the Winter Window set. The sleigh and the moon are from my Fairy Tale Christmas kit. The rest of the background was done using the largest Pierced Feature Frame. I heat embossed more of those snowflakes onto the center panel and sponged over it with Dark Indigo ink, then nested it back inside the outer frame, which I left white.
The window is topped off with some bows and greenery, also from the Winter Window set. The sentiment stamped along the bottom is from the Sentiment Staples: Season's Greetings set being released this month.
My next card takes the Winter Window die and turns it into a shaker element! I diecut several of the window frames from white cardstock and stacked them up to create some depth. I then filled all of the window panes with small sequins and small beads (from the Fairy Tale Christmas trimmings kit). To top it off and seal the sequins inside, I backed another window diecut with a solid window cut from Clear Cardstock. This was also stamped with the frosty window image from the stamp set and heat embossed with white.
For the background, I started by sponging a white card base with Broken China distress ink, then added the dimensional snowflakes using Texture Paste and the snowflake stencil from the Fairy Tale Christmas stencil set (I'm sort of addicted to that snowflake stencil and can't stop using it!)
My last card is a fun take on Winter Window (and I also snuck in just a bit of the new Warm & Fuzzy set!). I created a cute scene using the window and the puppy from Paws & Kisses, which was released earlier this year.
I dressed that cute doggo up in a sweater...it was made from one of the socks in the new Warm & Fuzzy set! Just cut off the foot part and it makes a great sweater for this pup. :-) I also made a rug for him by stamping the gingham pattern from the new Sending Joy set onto a strip of Pure Poppy cardstock. I cut some holes in the ends using the Stitching Lines dies, then tied some twine through them.
I stamped the "let it snow" sentiment onto the run and heat embossed it with white powder. Behind the window I put the tree from the Winter Window set, and I added some dimensional dots using Nuvo Drops. The background was sponged with Berry Sorbet ink, and I added some bows to the corners of the window to finish it off.
I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I'll be back tomorrow with one last day of fun product reveals!
