Happy Tuesday! Are you ready for more Papertrey Ink September release product reveals and projects? We have some really fun stuff again today!
I'll be showing a couple of new stamp sets today - Winter Fox by Heather, and one by me -- Text & Texture: Wood Slices.
I'm excited to show you some projects with these new sets!
Up first is a fun using mostly Winter Fox, but I snuck in some Text & Texture: Wood Slices, too.
I watercolored a snowy blue sky in the background, with some white embossed snowflakes using the snowflake images from the Winter Fox set. Then I stamped that cute tree from the set in a few shades of green. The fox was stamped with black, and then colored with Copics.
Along the bottom is a strip of kraft cardstock, stamped with the two-step Wood Slices background. I just love how that turned out! I added the small "peace on earth" sentiment from the Fox set and trimmed them into little strips.
My next card uses these same two sets again, but this time for a softer look. I stamped the Wood Slices background with soft gray inks for a more subtle look. I cut a window from this panel using an oval from the Noted: A1 set, and created a little scene inside using the Meadow hill dies, and the fox and tree from the new Winter Fox set.
I stamped the outline of the fox in black ink, and stamped the solid portion with Sweet Blush ink. The tree was stamped with Aqua Mist ink. I added a small strip of Aqua Mist cardstock at the bottom, stamped with the small "joy" sentiment from the Winter Fox set.
Next I have a couple more cards using the Text & Texture: Wood Slices set. I love the rustic look of this set and couldn't wait to play around with pairing it with some other things! For this first one I pulled out the Twig Wreath set...what a perfect set to go with the Wood Slices!
I stamped the wood slices onto kraft cardstock using Kraft and Cocoa Bean inks. I added the wreath over the top, which was backed with vellum, and stamped with one of the sentiments included in the Wood Slices set. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
The Text & Texture Wood Slices set definitely doesn't have to be limited to holiday cards! It will be great for masculine birthday, sympathy, and more. Here I created a rustic birthday card.
I started by stamping the wood slice background onto white cardstock using Soft Stone and Weathervane ink. I cut an oval from this panel and layered it over an Olive Twist card base, which was stamped with some of the individual sprigs included in the T&T Wood Slices set.
I added a sentiment to a strip of kraft cardstock, also stamped with the wood slices. I heat embossed a sentiment, also from the set, onto this strip using white embossing powder. I added some pine boughs and berries from another new set coming your way this month that you'll see more of in a few days....Seasonal Borders: Winter.
Well thanks SO much for stopping by to check out today's new goodies and projects! I hope you're enjoying the countdown...we have so much more coming in the next few days...phew! I'm marathon crafting over here. :-)
