Papertrey Ink August Countdown Day 2: Glorious Globes August and You Made My Day...

It's Day #2 of the Papertrey Ink August countdown...the month where we release all of the gorgeous autumn products!  It's my turn for a feature post today, and I'll be featuring this month's Glorious Globes set, along with a pretty sentiment set called You Made My Day, which is filled with sentiments for autumn, thanksgiving, and beyond.

You can click HERE to see all of today's product introductions in detail.  All of these new products, along with anything else I mention as "new" in today's post beginning at 10pm ET on August 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.

Let me show you a few projects I put together using these new products!  First up is a card using this month's Glorious Globes.  Lizzie put together a multi-step leafy globe that's just so pretty!  There's also a "give thanks" circle for the medium-sized globe from the Glorious Globes Basics set.

For the background behind my globes, I diecut the insert from this month's new Shape Shifters die, which is another in the Circle Shape Shifters.  It has a leaf and acorn design that I just love!  I cut this from a Rustic White card base, then backed the cut-out with some Americana cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Year of Psalms: August set, which I did a bit of simple masking so that I could stamp a portion above and below my globes.

Next up I have another card that incorporates the new autumn globes along with a pretty "grateful" sentiment from the new You Made My Day sentiment set.  I still love the chalkboard look, even though it's been around for awhile.  I decided it would go great with the globes.

This time I stamped the leaves and berries on the globe in rich autumn colors, then stamped the "give thanks" circle over the top in black.  I also stamped the small grid globe from the Basics set in black.

The background is a stitched rectangle cut from black cardstock and stamped with the "grateful" sentiment, heat embossed in white.  I added some sponged Fresh Snow ink as well as some white pencil details.  Behind that is a panel cut with a new Scalloped Stackers: Small die, also being showcased today.  I finished off the card by adding some small leaves and berries from my new Seasonal Borders: Autumn set, which you'll be hearing more about later in the countdown!

Lastly today, I have a card set using the new You Made My Day sentiments along with a new background coming this month called Text & Texture: Leaves.

This was a quick card set to put together.  I started with some rich, autumn colored cardstocks - Americana, Saffron Spice, and Prairie Grass, as well as some Fresh Snow Linen.  I stamped the two-step Text & Texture: Leaves background onto each using two shades of coordinating ink.

For the sentiments, I cut strips of Soft Stone cardstock and stamped them with sentiments from the new You Made My Day set.  I accented each by inking up just a single leaf from the new Glorious Globes: Autumn set, and stamping it a couple of times next to the start of each sentiment.  I wrapped some twine around the strips before adhering them, just to add a little texture and interest.

Such a fun and quick card set to put together, that really has a rich, autumn look!
