Papertrey Ink August Countdown Day 1: Corner Adorner and more for Halloween!

Good morning!  Are you ready to kick off the August Papertrey Ink countdown?  I'm so excited that we've reached some of my favorite releases of the year.  I love the fall stuff and then we head into the holidays.  It's my absolute favorite time of year!

Today is all about Halloween and tricking and treating!  We have lots of fun Halloween treat and goodie ideas for you today using great new products.  You can see all of today's product introductions in detail HERE.

Everything mentioned as "new" today will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on August 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.

I was asked to work with just one product today, and that's this month's super cute Corner Adorner, which is a spider web.  So perfect to tuck onto all of your spooky projects.  I wanted to create some quick and easy Halloween treats that could be handed out to trick-or-treaters...something easy to put together that didn't take a ton of time, and this is what I came up with...

I pulled out some black pipe cleaners and cut two of them in half and twisted them together to form 8 legs, then glued a mini Reese's peanut butter cup.  I wound up another half pipe cleaner to create a head, and glued it to the peanut butter cup, along with a couple of googly eyes.

I diecut the Corner Adorner webs, stamped them with the coordinating web image.  I bent a couple of the spider legs through the spaces in the corners of the web to secure it, and added the "trick or treat" sentiment from the set, stamped onto a small strip of Winter Wisteria cardstock.  I also added the tiny spider from the set.  They're kind of fun and happy spiders, if there is such a thing!

I just have this one project for you today, but there's so much more to come in the next few days.  I'm excited to show you all of the new stuff coming your way, but what fun would it be to give it all away on day one?! :-)

  New make it band
