Papertrey Ink June Countdown Day 4: Botanical Bounty II + More Salt Air Projects...
June 13, 2018
I'm back today with more June Papertrey Ink projects! There are some really pretty things being introduced today. You can see all of the product details for today's features HERE.
Everything that's been showcased for the June release over the past few days will be available for purchase in just a few days - beginning at 10pm ET on June 15th, from the Papertrey Ink website.
My first card uses a new set coming your way that's a sequel to the popular Botanical Bounty by Jennifer Campbell. Botanical Bounty II is filled with even more brushstroke blooms and foliage. So fun to stamp!
I layered some of the stamps to create an abstract look. I tried a different (for me) color combo on this card and I love how it turned out! I'm always inspired by shades of blue. Here I used Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, and Dark Indigo, along with some Stormy Sea. I think the addition of the Stormy Sea really made it feel more sophisticated.
I arranged a bouquet of flowers and foliage from the Botanical Bounty II set on a card base that was cut with the Noted: Pinked A2 Vertical die. The sentiment was stamped with the new Words to Live By: Laugh set.
Next I have a few more cards using my Salt Air collection. I told you I couldn't stop creating with these products! I had so much fun with them.
First up is a jellyfish card along with a pretty coral reef, done in a fun color combo.
I started by sponging some blue and purple inks onto my card base, then added some sparkly bubbles using the Background Basics: Celestial Sky stamp set and an Essential Glue pad and mica powders. I also added some shimmery stars using the Scribbled Stars set and mica powders.
The jellyfish were diecut and stamped using the Salt Air: Fauna set. I used my MISTI to stamp them in pastel colors, and also stamped the detail layer a second time with a glue pad, and added some shimmery mica powder. It's not visible in the photo, but in real life it's pretty and shimmery. At the bottom I added lots of shells, coral, etc. using the Salt Air: Flora and Reef Builder dies. Everything was done in shades of blue, purple, and coral. The fun matching sentiment is from Salt Air: Sentiments.
My next card uses the cute seahorse pair from the Salt Air: Fauna set, along with the Reef Builder dies. The cute sentiment from the Salt Air: Sentiment set makes a cute encouragement card.
I diecut the plants from Aqua Mist using the Reef Builder dies, then just sponged some ink (Tropical Teal and New Leaf) onto the bottom. Super quick and easy! I also stamped just a small strip of water at the bottom of the card using the new Text & Texture: Ocean.
I stamped some bubble clusters, also from the Salt Air: Fauna set.
Such fun goodies this month! I'll be back tomorrow for one more day of product reveals before everything goes up in the shop!
