Announcing a New Papertrey Ink Color and Naming Contest!
April 01, 2018
Good morning and Happy Easter!
It's the first of the month, which means it's Papertrey newsletter day, and to go along with that we have a fun announcement on the Papertrey Ink blog! There's a new color coming your way...a beautiful medium gray! So many have been asking for this for so long and it's finally coming your way.
This new gray cardstock will be available with the April release, and in preparation for that we're letting you help name it! Between now and April 6th, you can leave a comment on the Papertrey Ink blog with your suggestion for this pretty new color. Ink will be coming at a later date.
We're also showcasing some projects using this new gray, giving you some color inspiration for other colors to pair with it from the Papertrey Ink collection. My card uses the new gray along with Ripe Avocado, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, and Fresh Snow.
I started out with a panel of the gray cardstock, and filled it up by stamping the branch from the Beautiful Berries: Spring set. I stamped the branches and berries in Fresh Snow, the leaves in Ripe Avocado, the embossed the berry details with some Zing embossing powders.
For the sentiment panel, I diecut a rectangle from white cardstock using one of the dies from the Noted: Scalloped A1 die set, then stamped a sentiment from the Penned Elegance set with Pale Peony ink. I added a few of the small berry clusters from the BB: Spring set. I trimmed my gray panel down and attached it to a Sweet Blush card base, cut using the Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die.
This is such a pretty new color and I'm excited to try it out with lots of other colors! I hope you'll stop over at the Papertrey blog to see all of the other color combos the DT girls came up with, and help us name it while you're there!
