Papertrey Ink Anniversary Release Day #1: Bold Borders, Bunny Blessings, & Penned Elegance...
February 10, 2018
Good morning! Happy Saturday! It's a cold one here...wow, it just doesn't want to warm up! Better stay in and cuddle up with a blanket, a warm cup of coffee, and some springy Papertrey Ink Anniversary celebration posts! (we can dream of spring, right??)
Today's anniversary celebration includes an egg hunt. Be sure to check out the Papertrey blog for all of the rules, below is my official egg hunt photo (this is going to be a tricky one!!! good luck!!)...
So even though it's frigid out, we've got spring on the brain at Papertrey Ink. We're showcasing a few of the new February products today -- anything mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on February 15th from Papertrey Ink.
First up is the fun collection of products featured in my egg hunt photo above. That cute bunny, big egg die, and springy flowers are all part of a new set by Heather called Bunny Blessings. I used the new Big Egg die to create a sweet spring shaker card.
Inside that Big Egg cut out is a sweet scene with the bunny, flowers, and butterflies from the Bunny Blessings stamp and die sets. I added some clouds and green grass using watercolors.
The outer layer was stamped with the Plaid Builder set to add just a bit of pattern. The "Happy Easter" sentiment is also from Bunny Blessings. The shaker is filled with glitter and assorted sequins.
My next project uses a fabulous new die from what is going to be a new series for her this year called Bold Borders. This first one is called Bold Borders: Blooming and it's so pretty! I diecut it from watercolor paper, then colored it with my Zig Clean pens.
I added lots of sequins to the flower centers for fun sparkle and dimension.
Stamped inside the frame is a sentiment from another new set coming your way. This one's called Penned Elegance and it was hand-drawn by a brand new Papertrey designer -- Jennifer Campbell. It's a gorgeous set and I can't wait to see what else she might have in store for us! There are dies for this set as well, but I simple stamped and heat embossed it, then sponged Aqua Mist ink over the top.
Thanks for stopping by today for just a small peek of what's to come for February! I'll see you back tomorrow as we continue our February countdown and 11th Anniversary celebration!
