Introducing Birthday Balloons + Never Enough Birthday...
January 13, 2018
Are you ready for some fun new birthday supplies? That's what we have for Day #4 of the January Papertrey Ink countdown! If you're like me (and probably every other card maker out there!) birthdays are the occasion you create the most for, so it's always fun to get some new supplies!
Today we're introducing 3 different tamp sets and some stencils! The stamp sets are Birthday Balloons, Birthday Strings, and a sentiment set called Never Enough Birthday. All of these new products will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on January 15th from Papertrey Ink.
I have a couple of projects using these new sets. First up uses the new Birthday Balloons stencils along with a sentiment from the new Never Enough Birthday, and my new Mix & Mat: Confetti dies. I started by diecutting the confetti insert and stitched border from the new Mix & Mat dies from a white card base.
Then I masked off around the border and stenciled all of those colorful balloons using the new Birthday Balloons stencils. I stamped the strings and stars using the Birthday Balloons stamps et.
For a fun detail, I strung a whole bunch of sequins across the top. I did this for a Make it Monday video a long, long time ago and thought it would be fun to do again. The holes in the Mix & Mat confetti die make it super simple the tie the string through to create the banner.

My next card is a bit of a softer take on the birthday theme, but still sparkly, and that's what really counts when it comes to birthdays! Here I used the Birthday Balloons stamps and started off with a Soft Stone card base, then stamped the balloons with Fresh Snow ink.
I wanted to add sparkly confetti to the balloons. I didn't have colored glitter, so I stamped the confetti portion of the balloon with colored ink, then stamped again over top with a glue pad, and sprinkled each one with white glitter. It turned out really fun!
I heat embossed the strings with white powder, and also added some tiny stars, which were diecut with the Shaker Shapes: Star die. I also added the colorful banner at the bottom, which was cut with the new Lucky Scratch die collection, sponged with ink, and heat embossed with a sentiment from the Birthday Balloons stamp set.

Finally today, I have another card using my Brushed Birds along with a sentiment from the new Birthday Strings set. The Birthday Strings sentiments are cute to add to the bottom of a balloon, but they're cute just used on their own too. I stamped it across the bottom of this card.
I put one of the larger Brushed Birds in the nest from Nesting...he fits perfectly with the eggs from that set. Behind that is my new Mix & Mat: Confetti diecut.
