Papertrey Ink Feature -- Huggable: Monkey, Huggable: Bear, and Pencil Arrow Dies...

Good morning!  We're working our way through the December Papertrey Ink countdown and we have some cute things to show you today!

About a year ago I released the Tag Sale: Huggable die, which has had a few coordinating mini kits for creating some holiday characters.  There have been several requests for stamps and dies for turning the Tag Sale: Huggable die into different animals.  I'm happy to bring a couple of those to you this month!

The Huggable: Monkey and Huggable: Bear will be sold as two small "kits" - the stamps and dies for each character will be sold together.  I wanted something that would be easy and inexpensive for creating treats for Valentine's Day and beyond.  So, each animal has a $5 stamp set filled with details for each animal, with several sentiments for each, and a matching set of dies. These all coordinate with the Tag Sale: Huggable die.

So let me show you some projects using the new Bear and Monkey!  Here is a whole line-up of them, each hugging some fun treat that fits with the character and its sentiment. The bear can be used as a regular bear, a polar bear, or there are some optional eye patches so you can turn it into a panda bear.  There is a honey pot and also a cute scarf for accessories.

The monkey has some bananas and a cute tail.  Here he's hugging some banana taffy.  The polar bears are hugging mints, and I used the "You're a cool friend" sentiment.    The honey bears are holding honey candies and honey lip balm!

This cute panda is holding a rose made from two chocolate Kisses.  Have you ever made those?  Very easy!  Just glue two kisses together end-to-end wrap them in clear cello, and tape with a floral wire (or wood skewer) and add some diecut leaves.

There are so many different little treats you can make them hug...or wrap them around a mug, gift card, or just about anything else!

My next project combines the new Huggable animals with some other new products -- the You Have My Heart stamp set and Envelope die -- to make some cute little valentines!

Envelope-Hugs2

Instead of using the Tag Sale: Huggable base, I used just the arms from that die set, and wrapped them around the large stitched heart from the new You Have My Heart die set.

I stamped each heart with the scalloped heart and journal lines from the You Have My Heart set, and a sentiment from the Huggable Bear or Monkey sets.

The envelopes were cut from Bitty Big polka dot papers in Soft Stone, Classic Kraft, and Pink Posey.

Each envelope is closed off with the hearts from the With All My Heart Envelope die set and some red baker's twine.

Next I have a fun card using the Huggable: Bear set. I turned the bear into a polar bear and used the "cool friend" sentiment.

I colored his scarf with Copic markers, and sponged some pink ink onto his cheeks.  The sentiment was stamped onto a Limitless Layers: 1-3/4" Circle diecut -- all of the sentiments in both the Bear and Monkey sets will fit on this size circle.

Behind the bear is the new Mix & Mat: Hearts die...I used just the arrow border and the heart insert, cut from an Aqua Mist card base.  I sponged some Blueberry Sky ink along the bottom.  I stamped a few small snowflakes - the one I used was from the Dress Up Dolls: Winter Fun set.

My last project for today uses some fun new dies by Erin!  The Pencil Arrow and Slot Closure die are super fun for quick and easy treat bags.

I kept it simple and let these fun products do all the work for me.  I started off with some sparkly gold treat bags and gold striped paper straws.  I added the Pencil Arrow dies to each straw, cut from Sweet Blush and Aqua Mist cardstocks.  I diecut the Slot Closure die from the treat bag, which Erin design to make it super easy to attach the arrows...very clever!

I added a heart tag to each, cut with the heart die from the Matchbook Medley die set, stamped with a sentiment from the new Fun Lovin' stamp set, heat embossed with gold powder.  I added a small arrow to each as well, cut using the new You Have My Heart dies.  I attached the hearts with some iridescent curling ribbon.
