Throwback Thursday: Love Lives Here: Holiday

Good morning and happy Thursday!  Thursday is the new Friday, did you know?  (just kidding...hang in there, you're almost there!)  :-)

Thursday means it's time for another Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday feature, where a few members of the DT pull out an older stamp set and bring you some brand new inspiration.  This month's featured set is Love Lives Here: Holiday

Love lives here holiday

This set has such a pretty, rustic feel.  It always reminds me of Melissa (I think she contributed to the design!), so for my card today I tried to channel a bit of Melissa.

I started by cutting an oval window from a panel of white cardstock.  Then I built a scene to fit inside that oval onto the card base.  I added some texture in the background using texture paste along with the snowfall stencil from the Post & Parcel kit from last year.  I also added a few glittered stars, cut using the Love Lives Here: Holiday dies.

The angel is positioned over a cluster of pink trees.  I did some stamping on the outer oval panel using the pine bough from the set, some of the tiny berries and stars, and also a sentiment along the bottom.

I hope you enjoyed this new take on the Love Lives Here: Holiday set.  You can visit Keeway and Melissa to see more new projects!
