Papertrey Ink Feature: Snowfall Style...
November 11, 2017
Happy Saturday morning! No sleeping in here...we're off to an early morning swim meet. I hope you're still snuggled under the covers.
It's Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink November countdown and I get to share a fun grouping of products with you called Snowfall Style. There are stamps, dies, and stencils. The new Snowfall Style products, as well as anything else mentioned as "new" in today's post, will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on November 15th from Papertrey Ink.
Let's get right to the projects!
My first card is super simple. I used one of the pretty Snowfall Style snowflake dies along with the Snowfall stencils.
Have you ever tried combining multiple stencils? Yeah, me either...until today! I layered the Snowfall stencil with the rectangular brushstroke stencil from the Herb Garden kit to create the background here. Pretty fun...I'll have to try that again!
I created the dimensional snowflake by layering several diecuts together. The top layer is white, but all of the other layers were cut from Tropical Teal cardstock to give the edges some color. The fun sentiment stamped along the bottom is also from the Snowfall Style stamp set...I'm loving those little typed sentiments!
My next card is also pretty simple. These gorgeous snowflakes really do all of the work for you. I started by stamping a panel of white cardstock with my new Background Basics: Birch stamp. Then I diecut one of the larger snowflakes from the panel. I adhered the panel to a card base with some foam tape, then nested a matching plain white snowflake diecut back inside the opening.
I diecut a second, smaller snowflake from white cardstock and layered it over the first, topping off the center with a red sequin.
The pretty sentiment stamped in Pure Poppy along the bottom is also from the Snowfall Style stamp set.
My next card has a few more layers. This time I combined one of the pretty Snowfall Style snowflakes with this month's Mix & Mat die collection. For the Mix & Mat portion of the card, I started out by diecutting all three pieces (outer frame, stitched border, and inner plaid) from white cardstock. I used Copic markers to add color to the plaid, and also to add detail to the branches.
It's super easy to create a birch look on the branches just by doing some lines with a gray marker.
I added the small "believe" sentiment to a small banner diecut using the Countdown Details dies. I sponged it with Aqua Mist ink, then stamped the sentiment with Smokey Shadow.
I love all things snowflakes, so this new Snowfall Style collection was right up my alley...loved working with it! I'll be back tomorrow with more projects using the new November products coming your way from Papertrey Ink!
