Throwback Thursday: Stenciled Alphabet Blocks Die...

It's time for a Throwback Thursday!  Each week the Papertrey team selects an older product to feature, and three designers bring you some fresh inspiration.  Today's feature is the Stenciled Alphabet Blocks Die set.

I pulled out the Stenciled Alphabet dies and combined them with some things I had laying around my work table.  I haven't been able to put away my Wonderland kit, so I paired some of the elements from the kit with the alphabet dies for a fresh, yet rustic Christmas card.

I diecut the letters to spell "joy" from the birch paper from the Wonderland kit.  I cut the solid backer for the alphabet dies from Pure Poppy cardstock and glued them together, just along the top stitched edge, so I could slip them over a piece of twine.  I stitched over the ends of the twine to hold it in place.

I embellished my "joy" banner with two of the small flower borders from the Wonderland kit.  I also had a twig with birds lying on my work table from this past release, using the Cloche Quarters: Winter Fillers set, so I added that to embellish the "j".  Oh, and before adding all of these goodies to my Stamper's Select White card front, I embossed it using the metal Woodgrain Stencil.  I also added just a narrow strip of plaid paper from Wonderland along the bottom edge.

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you enjoyed this Throwback to the Stenciled Alphabet Blocks dies!  Wanda and Lizzie are also playing along today, so be sure to hop on over to see their projects, too!
