Papertrey Ink September Countdown Day 2...

Welcome to Day 2 of the September Papertrey Ink countdown!  September is one of our big holiday releases, and there's so much good stuff coming out.  I just have a couple of projects to share again today, using a few of these new products.  I'm sneaking in some sneak peeks of a new mini kit I'm releasing that you'll be seeing more of in the coming days, but I couldn't resist sneaking bits of it into today's projects.

Anything I mention as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on September 15th from Papertrey Ink.

So first of all, Lizzie is introducing a fun new line of products aimed at wrapping up gift cards...which we all probably give plenty of during the holiday season!  One of the dies in this gift card collection is called Gift Card Cozy.  It's a simple pocket envelope, sized perfectly to fit a gift card.

I paired up this Gift Card Cozy die with some new dies and stamps I have coming out that are part of a mini kit.  The kit is called Holiday Tag Along and you'll be hearing much more about it in the coming days.  For now, I'll just say that there are these insert dies that cut different patterns, and they work perfectly with Lizzie's new Gift Card Cozy die!  Love it when that happens.  Here I used the polka dots and greenery dies to cut the patterns from the front of the gift card holders.

I backed the cut-outs with cardstock so the gift card inside wouldn't show through, but if you had a cute gift card that matched, you could definitely skip that and let it show through the cut-outs.  I colored the greenery with my Zig watercolor pens.  The sentiment stamp is also from my new Tag Along mini kit.  I added some of the new Bitty Big plaid patterned paper to the flaps of the gift card pocket.  A few sequins add a bit of sparkle.

New make it band

My next project uses another one of the patterned insert dies from my new Tag Along mini kit.  This one cuts some pretty snowflakes.  I combined it with the border from my new Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs die collection, and watercolored the design inside the stitched edge using reinkers.

I added color behind the snowflake cut-outs by adhering my finished panel to a Dark Indigo card base.  The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed using a sentiment from a new set by Heather, called Berry Wreath.

I'm having such a great time creating with these new products -- I hope you're enjoying all of the countdown projects!  See you back here tomorrow!
