Papertrey Ink September Countdown Day 3 -- Beautiful Berries: Winter and Year of Psalms: September...
Papertrey Ink September Countdown Day 5: More Holiday Tag Along...

Papertrey Ink Feature: Make It Market Mini Kit: Holiday Tag Along...

I'm so excited about what I have to show you today!  The holiday kits are always my favorite...the full kits and the minis!  Today I get to help showcase a holiday mini kit I'm releasing called Holiday Tag Along.  It's packed with all sorts of things for creating fun holiday tags...stamps, stencils, dies, patterned papers, plus an assortment of sequins and twine in fun colors.  All of these tag-making goodies are also great for cards, too, of course!

The new Holiday Tag Along mini kit will be available for purchase when all of the new September goodies go up in the Papertrey Ink store at 10pm ET on September 15th.

Before I delve into my projects and all of the details, here's a quick video overview of the kit and all of the fun contents...

So here are a few projects I made with the kit.  I've peeked this kit a bit over the last few days and I'll be showing a few more in the next few days as well!

First off is a set of tags that use the pre-printed tags from the kit, making these quick and easy.

The Tag Along kit comes with a basic tag die, which can be used to cut the printed tags, and then you can choose to take that another step further and use the different insert dies to cut out the patterns in the printed tags.  The insert dies are easy to line up because of the stitching lines printed on the tags...just center the die inside the lines and run it through your machine.  I use a bit of washi tape to hold everything in place.

For these tags, I backed them with another solid tag, cut from watercolor paper.  I added a bit of color to each using my reinkers, then stamped the to/from using the stamps from the kit.  The solid circle on the printed tags hides the stamping.  So quick and easy and really pretty!

Next is another set of tags with a very different look.  I used the stencils from the kit to do some reverse stenciling (see THIS video for details on reverse stenciling).

I used bright, non-traditional ink colors.  When the tags were dry, I stamped each with one of the brushstroke circles from the stamps in the kit, and heat embossed them with gold powder.

I embellished each tag with the smallest cluster from the Beautiful Berries: Winter set, and some sequins from the kit.

Lastly, I have a card using the Tag Along kit.  There's lots of fun card possibilities with the kit contents, too.  For this one, I pulled out the holly/pine insert die and used it to cut three times across the front of a horizontal card.  I love the way that turned out!

I left about 3/4" along the bottom edge, below the cut-outs, and stamped a sentiment from the Keep It Simple: Warm Winter Wishes set, and also added some strips of Stormy Sea cardstock on both sides.  In the center I stamped the "joy" sentiment from the kit.

I added some berry clusters from the Beautiful Berries: Winter set above the sentiment.
