Papertrey Ink June Countdown Day #4...
More June Release: Beautiful Berries and Humming Along...

Papertrey Ink Feature: Jungle Buddies + Sentiments, and Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle...

Good morning and welcome to the last day of product reveals for the June Papertrey Ink countdown!

Today I get to help showcase some new products by Lizzie with a jungle theme.  So cute!  The Jungle Buddies stamp set, Jungle Buddies sentiments, and the Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle round out this fun collection perfect for little ones, but lots of applications beyond that as well, especially for the cover plate.

These new sets, along with anything else I mention as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on June 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.

I have three fun projects for you today. This first one uses the Jungle Buddies and coordinating sentiment sets to create a cute baby card.  These giraffes are just the cutest!

Jungle-giraffe1

I diecut and stamped a couple of them and layered them over a frame cut with this month's new Mix & Mat: Pretty Brackets die.  I sponged a bit of Pale Peony ink behind the diecut to make the lattice design stand out a bit more.  The frame was attached with some foam tape for a bit of dimension.

A sentiment from the Jungle Buddies Sentiments set was stamped along the bottom of the frame.  I diecut the branches and grass sprig from Green Parakeet ink using the new Mighty Jungle Cover Plate die.

My next project is a cute birthday card using the adorable elephant from the Jungle Buddies set.  I started by stamping that cute elephant with Lilac Grace ink (and Royal Velvet for the details).  I stamped his water spray with Raspberry Fizz.

I placed him on a panel of watercolor paper on which I watercolored a rainbow cloud coming out of his trunk.  After that was dry, I layered some branches, cut from watercolor paper using the Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle die.  The sentiment, from the Jungle Buddies Sentiments set, was stamped onto the stitched banner from the Tag Sale: Quilted die set.  I heat embossed it with white powder and sponged Raspberry Fizz and Berry Sorbet ink over the embossing.

Along the bottom edge, I layered several of the grass strips from the Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle die, cut from watercolor paper and watercolored with shades of green.

My third and final card takes a totally different approach to the Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle die.  If you cut it from black cardstock it takes on a dramatic silhouette effect.  I layered the main from diecut along with some of the branches, over a sponged background that mimics a tropical sunset.

For the background, I started with a panel of linen cardstock and sponged it with Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Raspberry Fizz, and Scarlet Jewel inks.  I then spritzed it with water to add lots of texture.  The sentiment is from the pretty Pen & Ink sentiment set.

I finished it off by diecutting and stamping the pretty hibiscus from the Some Like it Hot set in matching tropical colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - Jungle Buddies is so fun, don't you think?  Adorable.  :-)  I'll see you back here soon for more projects using all of the new June stamps and dies.
