More Papertrey Ink May Release: Heart & Sole...

To keep you entertained while you anxiously await your Papertrey Ink order to arrive, the team is blogging all sorts of new projects using the new May products! Today we're posting more projects using my Heart & Sole set.
I put a bit of a different spin on my card today - I thought it would be perfect for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. Our service men and women, both past and present, never get enough thanks, so why not send a card or two? This card started off with a panel that was sponged in red in blues, then stenciled with the starburst stencil from the Out of this World kit. Over top of that panel, I layered a Cover Plate: Stars panel.
The boot imprint was cut from Smokey Shadow cardstock, then stamped with black ink. I added the label detail, cut from Pure Poppy cardstock, then stamped with the "hero" sentiment from the Heart & Sole set. The sentiment is a combination of sentiments from the Heart & Sole set, along with the Wet Paint Alphabet stamps. I had to do a bit of masking on one of the sentiments to get the "for your", but that's easy to do with a bit of tape placed on your stamp while inking it. I added some diecut corners, cut with the Mix & Mat: Herringbone dies.
