Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2016

2016

Well, we've reached the final year in our Papertrey Ink 10 year review!  Today's featured sets all come from the year 2016.  This is the first year of my countdown posts that I get to choose one of my own sets from the line-up, which is kind of exciting!  I chose to work with my Tulip Time set, which was released in February of last year.  Of all of the sets I've illustrated since I started stamp designing in 2014, this set is probably one that I'm most proud of.  I'm so happy with how it looks when stamped, it's fun to play with different color combos, plus it's easy to stamp with.

I created a brand new project using Tulip Time.  I wanted to create a bouquet of the tulips and some wildflowers, so I paired it with the new  Gathered Garden set that was released last month.  I stamped some of the Gathered Garden stems onto a white cardstock background, then layered the diecut tulips over the top.

The tulips were stamped with Harvest Gold, Orange Zest, and Pure Poppy inks.  I love how vibrant they turned out!  The bow stamp and die I used to "tie" the bouquet is from the Enclosed: Present set.  The "thanks" sentiment is from the Gathered Garden set.

That brings us to the end of this memory lane!  Ten years worth of Papertrey Ink monthly releases...that's 120 releases, and so many incredible products and projects!  I've been honored to work with this company for nearly 9 of those 10 years and look forward to what is still to come!
