Latin Inspiration...
January 13, 2017
Welcome to day #4 of the Papertrey Ink countdown - it's time for a group post! Today the team is using a couple of different sets -- Palm Prints by Lizzie, a gorgeous collection of tropical foliage. The other set is called Latin Motifs. Designed by Nichole, it's a fresh new set with a Latin vibe.
Both of these new sets, along with anything else I mention as "new" will be available for purchase from Papertrey Ink, beginning at 10pm Eastern on January 15.
I have several projects today. The first one uses the new Palm Prints set to create a lush border around a pretty background. I just loved how the background came out on the card I shared the other day, using WTD: Paisley and Boho Rounds, so I decided to recreate it in different colors. Here I inked a panel of watercolor paper with Pale Peony and Berry Sorbet inks, then stamped the paisleys and medallions with Raspberry Fizz ink.
All of the different leaves and branches were stamped in shades of green. I layered them around the edge, trimmed off any excess, then used the left over bits to do even more layering. The sentiment is from the Color Pop: Butterflies set.

Next I have a card using the new Latin Motifs set. This set could take on SO many different looks, depending on which elements from the set you use, or your color choices. I went for a softer look and used the berry branches and flowers from the set.
I like the little corner elements - they're a nice way to frame a design. The sentiment is also from the Latin Motifs set.

Next I have a couple of cards using my new sets this month. First, a bright and colorful birthday card using Dress Up Dolls: Birthday. The girl is of course from the Dress Up Dolls: Basics set and all of her accessories are from the Dress Up Dolls: Birthday set.
I used copics to color everything in shades of pink and orange. The sentiment here is from the previously released Bold & Beautiful stamp set.

Lastly today I have a more masculine take on the new What the Doodle: Paisley set. I started off with a panel of Olive Twist cardstock, then filled it by stamping the various paisley images from the set using Pinefeather ink. I sponged some of this ink around the edges as well.
After I was finished stamping and inking, I took a gold marker and colored some of the details in the paisleys. I added a strip of Gold Shimmer cardstock and added the sentiment using the new Inspired: God stamps and die.
