January Release Wrap Up...
January 15, 2017
Good morning! Today is the day that all of the new January products go live in the Papertrey Ink store! Everything will be available, beginning at 10pm Eastern time.
I have a few more projects to share with you today using some of the new January products. First is a card using the new Medallion Trio set. I had fun with this one! I started of my stamping the medallion outline and heat embossing it with white powder.
Then I used all of the fill-in stamps and a rainbow of inks to fill in the open spaces of the medallion. The overlapping ink colors makes for a pretty cool effect. The sentiment stamped along the bottom is from the new Banner Style set.
Supplies not linked, but available on January 15th at 10pm Eastern from Papertrey Ink: Medallion Trio stamp set, Banner Style stamp set
My next card uses both the new What the Doodle: Paisley and the Family Ties stamps and dies. I started by creating a background with the different paisleys from the WTD: Paisley set. I heat embossed them with white powder and think inked over them with shades of blue and green.
For the focal point, I layered a couple of diecut paisleys over a rectangle diecut from the Noted: Scalloped A2 die collection. The paisleys were colored with Copics. I also added a few small diecut flowers - these were cut using the new Grand Botanical dies. I added a few tiny leaves to them, which were cut using the Shaker Shapes: Pumpkin die set. The sentiment was done using the Family Ties stamps and dies.

Finally today I a card using this month's Splits set along with the new Keep It Simple: Retirement set. I diecut and stamped several of the Splits frames and layered them. The top layer was left whole, but the others were cut in half and stacked.
The sentiment was stamped onto a diecut banner using Olive Twist ink. I diecut and stamped a few wheat stalks from the Paper Clippings: Thankful for You set and added them around the sentiment.
