Introducing Inspired: God...

Good morning and welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink countdown!  Today I get to share some projects using this month's installment of the Inspired series.  This month's featured word is "God".  The Inspired: God stamp collection features a stamp set filled with a variety of verses plus a coordinating "God" word die.

This new set, along with anything else mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm Eastern on January 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.

My first card uses the new Inspired: God set along with a new frame die coming your way called Floribunda.  It's so pretty and makes a statement all on its own.  Here I diecut it from watercolor paper and added color using a brush and re-inkers.

I diecut another panel of watercolor paper using the Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die and sponged it with Aqua Mist ink.  I adhered the pretty Floribunda frame, and filled it with one of the sentiments from the Inspired: God set.  I diecut the word "God" from Pale Peony cardstock and sponged it with some Berry Sorbet ink.  The remainder of the sentiment was stamped using the stamp set and Smokey Shadow ink.

My next card again uses the Inspired: God stamps and dies, this time paired up with the new What the Doodle: Paisley set, also being released this month.  I stamped a few paisleys and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  Then I watercolored over them using re-inkers.

I added the sentiment using a combination of the stamps and die from the Inspired: God set.  I decided it needed a little something down the left side, so I trimmed a strip of watercolor paper, stamped and heat embossed a few paisleys, and watercolored the strip with the same colors as the focal point.

My last card for today uses just the new What the Doodle: Paisley set.  I was anxious to play around with coloring these with my Copics.  I chose some bright, fun colors.  I used all three of the different size paisleys included in the set, as well as the small individual tulip flower.

When I was finished coloring them, I arranged them all on a diecut oval, cut using the largest oval from the Noted: A2 Scalloped die collection.  I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment, also from the WTD: Paisley set.  The finished oval was adhered to a Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical diecut card base, cut from Aqua Mist cardstock and sponged with a bit of Tropical Teal ink along the bottom.

That's all for my projects today, but if you'd like to see more projects using the new Inspired: God set, you can hop over to Kay Miller, as she'll be sharing some projects as well.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and we'll see you back here tomorrow!
