January Release Wrap Up...

Designs to Die for...

Happy weekend!  I hope you're enjoying it so far.  I know lots of people are dealing with crazy weather, so I hope you're all staying safe and warm.

Today is the final day of product reveals for the January Papertrey Ink countdown, so the team is here with a group post.  I just have one card to share with you today.  This week turned into a bit of a mess...one involving PE class, running, falling, x-rays, surgery, a cast, and my favorite 13 year old.  :-(  So, first things first of course, and I'll share more projects with you later this month.

The card I did manage to get done uses some beautiful new jumbo flower dies called Grand Botanicals.  These are so pretty and fun!  They will be available for purchase from Papertrey Ink beginning at 10pm Eastern on January 15th.  I started by gathering up some watercolor panel rejects I had lying around - they're always perfect for diecutting, even though they didn't come out the way I intended for whatever project I was hoping to use them on.  Diecutting them hides all kinds of flaws.

It was fun to layer them all up into a pretty cluster.  I layered a diecut sentiment over the top, which was stamped used the Bold & Beautiful set and Smokey Shadow ink.

If you'd like to see more projects using the Grand Botanicals dies (and some other dies that I didn't get a chance to bust out!) you can hop around to the other team blogs...
