Winter Snow Globe Revisited...
December 01, 2016
Good morning and happy December! Are you ready for the holiday madness? I'm ready...bring it on. :-) Tree is up, a good portion of the gifts are already bought, just need to be wrapped up.
The first of the month means it's also time for a Papertrey Ink Sr Team revisit...each month on the first, the team pulls out an older set and brings you some fresh inspiration. This month we're featuring Winter Snow Globe, a super cute set by Heather...
My first project is a card. I took that cute little snowman from the set, diecut and stamped a bunch of them and lined them up on the In the Meadow snow drift dies.
Before adhering them I sponged a rainbow of inks onto the background and stamped the small star clusters using the same ink colors. I spritzed a bit of water too, to add some texture. The "happy winter" sentiment is from the Snow Globe set, the "friend" diecut is from the Wet Paint Cuts die set.
For my next project I created a set of small tags. They are little folded enclosure tags, perfect for attaching to a gift. To do this, I started with a small piece of cardstock, which I scored and folded. I opened it up to a single layer before running it through my diecutting machine. I positioned the snow globe die so that the top edge of the globe extended just above the fold, and positioned my cutting plates right on the fold, so that the die would not cut the very top edge of the globe. Then I flipped my die around and did the same thing on the other side. Once both cuts are made, the cardstock and be folded on the score/fold once again.
Each snow globe was stamped with the stamps in the set and embellished with one of the characters which were colored with Copics. The inside of the tags were stamped with a to/from sentiment from the Keep It Simple: To and From set.
Thanks SO much for stopping by today to check out my Winter Snow Globe projects! I hope you find some time to enjoy some holiday crafting. If you'd like to see more Winter Snow Globe projects you can hop around to the other Sr Team girls...
