Table Service revisited and more October release inspiration...
November 01, 2016
Good morning! I hope your day is off to a great start! It's the first of the month, which means the Papertrey Ink team is here for a revisit post, but we're also here to share a whole bunch more inspiration using products from the October release.
First up I'll share my revisit post. The featured set this month is Table Service. Great for lots of different occasions! My first card would make a perfect hostess thank you card. The Pretty Frame Cover Plate kind of reminds me of china, so I thought it would be perfect paired with the Table Service set.
The plate was watercolored with some Aqua Mist re-inker, then stamped with one of the borders from the set (heat embossed with white powder) and then stamped with the rose motif in Aqua Mist. I added a napkin, silverware, and placed it all on the placemat from the set. The sentiment below was stamped with Saffron Spice ink.
Next I used the Table Service set to create a fun birthday card. I used the plate and slice of cake, placed on top of a background that was watercolored and stamped with the Confetti Toss stamp set.
I added a couple of Loop-de-Loop border dies strung across the top. I stamped a sentiment from the set along the bottom using Saffron Spice ink. This is becoming one of my favorite colors to use for sentiments!
Next up I have a bunch of cards that use the new October stamps and dies. First up is a card using the new Botanical Blocks III set. I stamped the holly image with Smokey Shadow ink, then used re-inkers to watercolor it.
I framed it with some Double-Up Rectangles, as well as the outer frame from the Pretty Frame Cover Plate. The banner diecut along the bottom is from the Paper Clippings: Joy to the World Details die set, stamped with a "just a note" sentiment from the new Keep it Simple set.
My next card uses Dawn's great Cozy Christmas line up of products. I used the Cozy Christmas Cover Plate 2 die for the background, along with the previously released Plaid Builder stamp set.
I stamped a couple of those cute thermoses and clustered them with a couple of snowflakes, also from the set. I added in a few small greenery sprigs from the Holiday Folk kit. The sentiment was stamped onto the smallest oval die from the Noted: A1 die set using Saffron Spice ink.
Next I used Maile's new Quick Notes: Holiday set. I simply watercolored a background, then stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed it with gold powder.
I added the matching die over the top and added a few of the smaller snowflakes from the What the Doodle: Snowflakes set.
The new Script Swirls: Christmas set is the focus of my next card. I heat embossed it with white powder onto a panel of watercolor paper, along with a few snowflakes from the set. Then I took a wet brush and some Aqua Mist and Amethyst Allure re-inkers and watercolored over the embossing.
I added a few small snowflakes which were cut using the Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe die. I also added the "joy" diecut from the Wet Paint Holiday set.
Next is a card using Maile's Splits set for October. This candle frame is just so pretty! I chose to emboss the image with white embossing powder and then color it with my Zig Clean Color markers. The sentiment was stamped in Saffron Spice.
I nested the diecut back into the panel of watercolor paper that I had cut it from and added it to a card base. Along the top I stamped one of the borders from the Holiday Greens Border set.
Lastly today I have a card using the new Christmas Cuts tag dies and stamps. I used the snowflake tag and created a background using the What the Doodle: Snowflakes set.
I watercolored the tag with some Amethyst Allure ink, then stamped the sentiment and smaller snowflakes and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I added a small snowflake diecut to the center of the snowflake on the tag, cut from the Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe die.
That wraps up my projects today for the Sr Team challenge as well as the post-release inspiration! If you'd like to see more, the other girls are all posting today too!
