Can you believe we're almost at the end of yet another countdown?! Do you like to make party invitations? If you do, you're in luck today! The Papertrey Ink team is here for a group post all about birthday invitations and favors.
Here are the new products I'll be using in today's post:
- Invitation Basics stamp set and coordinating dies
- Big Basics: You're Invited die
These new products will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website beginning at 10pm ET on November 15th.
For my project today I was challenged with creating a simple party/invitation ensemble fitting for a young man. I decided to keep it super simple and classic...guys don't like a lot of fuss, right? Plus something like this just needs to be easy to mass produce.
For the invite, I started with a Card Base-ics die and stamped one of the sunbursts from the Shine set twice using Saffron Spice ink. I used the balloon stamp and die from the new Invitation Basics set and stamped it in classic black. I tied some black baker's twine through the slits in the Card Base-ics die before adhering the balloon over the top. I also stamped a few of the confetti clusters from the set. I added some strips of Fine Linen striped paper to the top and bottom. Pretty simple!
For the back-side, I diecut the Card Base-ics again, this time from Prairie Grass cardstock. I also cut the smaller rectangle using the new Noted dies. I stamped the party info lines using the previously released By Invitation set. I added the Big Basics: You're Invited diecut which was cut from black cardstock. Some stamping on the envelope flap gives the perfect finishing touch.
For the favor, I used one of the kraft tubes and just added a simply balloon diecut to the top using the Invitation Basics set. I tied some twine around it to finish it off. Fill it with popcorn, nuts, snack mix, etc.!
Supplies not linked, but available on November 15 from Papertrey Ink: Invitation Basics stamp set and coordinating dies, Big Basics: Your'e Invited die, Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die collection, Prairie Grass cardstock
