Beautiful Inspiration...
November 12, 2016
Good morning! The Papertrey team is here for Day 3 of the countdown with a group post featuring some beautiful new products!
Here's what we're showcasing today -- Better Together stamp set and dies (which is a beautiful outline floral set), Leaf & Sprig Frame dies, and the Inspired: Mercy set. These new products, along with anything else mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available on November 15th from Papertrey Ink
My first couple of cards use all three of these new products along with one of my favorite coloring techniques - watercoloring with my Papertrey reinkers. I always have a palette on my desk that has lots of different colors on it so that I can pull out a brush and use it at any time. I started by heat embossing the large floral bouquet with white embossing powder, then did the watercoloring.
I used the second to the largest Leaf & Sprig Frame die from the set and layered it over a Noted: Vertical Scalloped A2 card base which was sponged with some Bright buttercup ink. The sentiment was done with the new Inspired: Mercy set. I diecut "mercy" from Pale Peony cardstock and stamped the remainder of the sentiment with Saffron Spice ink.
My next card uses many of the same techniques, except this time I used some of the individual flowers from the Better Together set. I again heat embossed and watercolored them. I used two frames from the Leaf & Sprig Frame set and sponged them with Aqua Mist and Amethyst Allure inks.
The sentiment is also from the Better Together set. I stamped and heat embossed it onto a panel of watercolor paper, then watercolored over the top of it.
Supplies not linked, but available on November 15th from Papertrey Ink: Better Together stamp set and coordinating dies, Leaf & Sprig Frame dies, Inspired: Mercy stamp set and coordinating die, Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die collection.
My last project for today was super quick and easy. The Better Together set is so pretty on its own, even without any coloring involved! I started with a Deep Indigo card base and stamped the large bouquet from the set a couple of times along the top of my card, then heat embossed the images with white embossing powder. I took a dark Copic marker and outlined some of the images.
I stamped another one of the sentiments from the Inspired: Mercy set in the bottom corner and embossed that as well. Just a quick, one layer card!
