Introducing this month's What the Doodle, Paper Clippings, and Inspired sets...
October 11, 2016
Good morning! So much to show you today! It's day #2 for the October Papertrey Ink countdown and lots of my monthly sets are being introduced today. Here's a bit of info...
Paper Clippings: Joy to the World - featuring a large die that pretty much fills up a card front...add color with the coordinating stamps, or color it markers, zig pens, etc! This one might be my favorite one of the series so far. There is a coordinating $15 stamp set, and also a detail die set that's being offered separately from the large die, like we've been doing in previous months.
What the Doodle: Snowflakes - who doesn't love a good snowflake? This little $5 set packs a punch! There are matching dies too, the largest snowflake has a detail cut-out die as well as a solid version.
Inspired: Hope -- this month's word is "hope", paired with some great verses and phrases. So perfect for encouragement or sympathy.
All of these new sets will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on October 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.
I have one project using each of these new sets to share with you today. First up is a card using the Paper Clippings: Joy to the World set. I cut the main die, then added all of the color with the coordinating stamps. I used the detail die set to cut the banner and layer it over the top of the banner on the main diecut for a bit of layering.
The star across the "O" was heat embossed with gold powder. I sponged some Aqua MIst ink onto a white background to add a little color.
Supplies not linked, but available on October 15th from Papertrey Ink: Paper Clippings: Joy to the World stamp set, main die, and detail die collection.
My next card uses the new What the Doodle: Snowflake set. I started by diecutting the large detailed snowflake, then heat embossed it with silver powder. I had some watercolor paper done in blues and purples on my work table that didn't work out for a different project, so I diecut the larger solid snowflakes from that and layered it under the detailed one.
The little snowflake swirl as well as all of the other smaller snowflakes, and the sentient, are all from the What the Doodle set. I layered them all on a stitched rectangle cut with the Noted: A2 dies, and was sponged with some Aqua Mist and Amethyst Allure inks. I misted it with water to give a bit of texture as well. I added my finished panel to an Aqua Mist card base, which was stamped with the snowflakes from the set using Aqua Mist ink.

My last card for today uses the new Inspired: Hope set. Here I layered the "hope" word die over the banner diecut from the Paper Clippings: Joy to the World detail die set. It was cut from a new color coming your way called Deep Indigo - so pretty!
Under the banner I stenciled and stamped a cluster of leaves and berries using the Color Pop: Autumn kit, then stamped one of the sentiments from the Inspired: Hope set over the top using Smokey Shadow ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your week is off to a great start -- see you back here tomorrow!
