Little Bitty Bird Revisited...

Good morning and happy September!  My favorite time of year is upon us.  I love the cool mornings and evenings, the return to school and all that entails.  Busy kids, invigorated by all of the new and exciting things happening, and best of all, ready for bed at the end of the day.  LOL.  It's a wonderful time of year.

Along with September comes time for another Papertrey Ink Sr Team revisit post.  Each month we pull out an older set and bring you some fresh inspiration. This month we're featuring Little Bitty Bird...

LittleBittyBird

Such a cute set!  Here are a few new cards I made with the set.  First up, I created a simple fall card.  I started with the Tag Sale: Quilted die and stamped the branch from Little Bitty Bird around the square to create a frame.  I colored it with some Copic markers to add a bit of color.

I added just a bit of watercoloring before I stamped one of the sentiments from the set.  I diecut and stamped a couple of the birds from the set, colored them with Copics, and perched them on one of the branches.  I added the tag to a panel of gingham paper from the Chicken Scratch Autumn paper pad, and tied some twine through the tag.

For my next project I went in a totally different direction by combining it with the cute phone from the Heart-2-Heart #4 set.  I started with a panel of watercolor paper and used some Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores re-inkers to watercolor the panel.  Then I stamped and embossed the curly border from the Little Bitty Bird set with white embossing powder.

I diecut and stamped the phone using the Heart-2-Heart #4 stamps and dies and added them to the watercolored panel using foam tape.  I diecut and colored a couple of the Little Bitty Birds and perched them on the phone and phone cord.  The sentiment was stamped using the Heart-2-Heart set.  I added a strip of Bright Buttercup striped paper along the edge for a little more color.  Those little birds are so cute and can be perched just about anywhere!

That's all from me today!  I hope you enjoyed seeing a bit of new inspiration for the Little Bitty Bird set.  If you'd like to see more you can hop around to the other Sr Team girls to check out what they've whipped up for today's post...
