Halloween Stitching Fun...

Well, we've come to the last day of product reveals for the Papertrey Ink August countdown! Are you overloaded on fall and halloween goodness yet? Just wait! Today the team is featuring a whole collection of Halloween Stitching dies by Erin. They're just the cutest!
All of these new stitching dies, along with anything else mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm Eastern on August 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.
There are lots of cute Halloween icons in this stitching collection - I chose to work with the witch boots. I stitched them up to create some pencil toppers. I did not stitch them together at the top, and they are the perfect size to slip over the end of a pencil! I love how these little boots look like they have actual laces. Such a fun detail!
I wanted to come up with a clever way to package them, so I pulled out the matchbox from last year's Make It Market: All Through the House holiday kit and my Write Stuff Holders dies. It's a little crazy, but I thought it would be fun to have the legs and boots sticking out to sort of look like a grave.
I pulled out the Haunted Headstones set that was released last year, and added a little headstone to my "grave", along with the fence from the Spooky Yard dies. I stamped the "rest in pieces" sentiment from the Haunted Headstones set onto the headstone. Besides the pencils, the box is filled with...wait for it...Reese's Pieces. I know, bad, huh? Haha. I couldn't resist. :-)
I diecut the Write Stuff pencil holders one end of the box so I could slip them through, and also diecut them from the bottom of the matchbox so the pencils are nice and secure.
