August Release Wrap up!
August 15, 2016
Good Monday morning! We've come to the end of another great Papertrey Ink countdown - the autumn release is always one of my favorites! So many fun Halloween, autumn, and Thanksgiving goodies.
Tonight's the night that all of the new stamps, dies, and papers will go up in the store. The fun starts at 10pm Eastern on the Papertrey Ink website.
I actually have several projects to share with you yet today. This release has been a whirlwind and my craft table is suffering the consequences!
First up is a card using Dress Up Dolls: Halloween along with Spooky Smiles. These sets work really cute together! I went for a little different color combo here and added in some bright pink.
The frame was cut using the You've Been Framed Oval die.
Supplies not linked, but available on August 15th from Papertrey Ink: Dress Up Dolls: Halloween stamp set and coordinating dies, Spooky Smiles stamp set and coordinating dies
Next is a card that uses several new things. The sentiment is from Dawn's New Every Morning set. The teacup is from What the Doodle: Tea Time. The cup is filled with flowers, leaves, and berries from the Color Pop Autumn kit. There is also some wheat tucked in, from the Paper Clippings: Thankful for You set.
The sentiment was stamped in Classic Kraft ink. The teacup was cut from Pale Peony cardstock and stamped with Autumn Rose ink. The background rectangle is a Double Ups Rectangles diecut.

My next card steps away from all of the pretty autumn things for a bright, happy birthday card. The background was watercolored and then stamped with the new Alphabet Soup background stamp.
The "happy" diecut is from the previously released Paper Clippings: Birthday set. I added some diecut leaves and small flowers from the new Fancy Foliage set.
Supplies not linked, but available on August 15th from Papertrey Ink: Alphabet Soup stamp set, Fancy Foliage stamp set, coordinating dies, and Detail dies.
Next is a card using the new Stylized Autumn along with the Inspired: Blessed set. I used the new Saffron Spice ink to stamp those pretty leaves. The flowers are done in Aqua Mist with a bit of Stormy Sea sponged on, and Orange Zest with Terracotta Tile. I am loving this new Saffron Spice color! It's a great neutral!
The sentiment is from Inspired: Blessed and was stamped in Classic Kraft and Terracotta Tile inks. The bottom edge of the panel was cut using one of the Edgers dies, and adhered to a Saffron Spice card base.

My next project uses the fun wishbone from the new Lucky Break set. I diecut it from Cocoa Bean cardstock, then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. The cluster around the wishbone is from a few different new things - Paper Clippings main die, as well as the Details die collection and stamps. The acorns are from the Color Pop Autumn kit.
That pretty wishbone cluster was added to a Stormy Sea stitched rectangle, cut using the Noted: Scalloped A1 die collection. I stenciled and stamped the tone-on-tone background using one of the stencils in the Color Pop Autumn kit. The sentiment is from the Lucky Break set and is heat embossed with white powder. Under that is a Double Ups: Rectangle diecut, cut from Saffron Spice cardstock. And under that is a panel of watercolor paper that I watercolored with Ocean Tides and Kraft reinkers, and also dripped with some gold Color Shine mist.
Supplies not linked, but available on August 15th from Papertrey Ink: Lucky Break stamp set and coordinating dies, Paper Clippings: Thankful for You stamp set, die, and Detail dies, Color Pop Autumn kit, Saffron Spice ink and cardstock
Next is a card that was super quick and easy. I started with a Double Ups: Rectangle die, cut from kraft cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed one of the sentiments from the new Give Thanks set with white powder.
Then I diecut the Paper Clippings: Thankful for You die from linen cardstock and snipped it apart so I could use just some of the bits and pieces of leaves and wheat. I love that you can do that with the Paper Clippings dies. This was a super quick card, but you could amp it up by adding color to the Paper Clippings diecuts with stamping or coloring of some sort.
