Super Stars Revisited...

Good morning and happy July!  The first of the month means it's time for a Papertrey Ink Sr Team revisited post where we pull out an older set and bring you some fresh inspiration.  This month's feature...

Super Stars!

Superstars

I created two new cards using the Super Stars set.  For this first one, I used the reversed stenciling technique I showed in THIS Make It Monday a few weeks ago.  I used the heart sunburst stencil from the Sunshine & Rainbows kit and a rainbow of ink colors pressed onto a panel of watercolor paper.

When the ink was dry, I stamped the dotted flourish from the Super Star set in black ink and covered the heart with one of the stars from the Super Stars set.  I stamped some of the small stars from the set in the rays, using the same ink colors that I used for the stenciling.  When this stamping was done, I diecut the panel using the largest Double Ups: Rectangle die.  The sentiment is also from the Super Stars set.

My next card uses a few more of the stars in the Super Stars set along with the banner from the Paper Clippings: Birthday set.  I stamped the stars in Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy, and Bright Buttercup inks.  The banner was diecut from white cardstock and inked with a bit of Hawaiian Shores ink.  The "congratulations" sentiment is from the Congratulations set.  I curved it on my block to fit the shape of the banner.

The background was diecut with the larges of the Double-Ups: Rectangle die and inked with some Hawaiian Shores ink on the scallops.  I stamped the dotted flourishes from the Super Stars set with black ink, then embellished them by stamping some of the smaller stars from the set, and added some clear sequins.  The whole works was adhered to a Kraft base.
