Introducing Inspired: Praise and Paper Clippings: Thinking of You...

Good morning and welcome to the first day of the May countdown over at Papertrey Ink!  The months are just flying by, aren't they?!  Summer is just around the corner!

We have lots of really great stuff coming your way again this month!

Today there are a couple of my new sets being introduced -- this month's installment of the Inspired series, which features "Praise" as the main word.  Also being shown today is this month's Paper Clippings set, which features a jumbo Thinking of You sentiment and a pretty wreath.

All of the products mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm Eastern on May 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.

I creates lots of projects using these new sets - I'll show you a few today and more as the release continues.  First up is a card that uses just the main Paper Clippings: Thinking of You die.  All I did was diecut it from Stamper's Select cardstock and color it with Copic markers.

When I was finished coloring that pretty diecut I layered it over a panel of Fresh Snow Linen cardstock which was sponged with some Lovely Lady and Amethyst Allure inks and splattered with a bit of water.  I also added a few of the pre-printed diecut butterflies from last month's Color Pop Butterflies kit for the bright pop of orange.  Really pretty quick to put together with minimal supplies, but it looks like a whole lot more!

We decided to do something a little bit different with this month's Paper Clippings set in that the detail dies are going to be sold separately from the large main Thinking of You/wreath die.  This gives you more options of purchasing either just the main die, just the detail dies, or both.  This next card uses just the Paper Clippings: Thinking of You stamp set and the detail dies.  Just a note about the wreath image in the stamp set -- it does not coordinate with the wreath in the main die - it's quite a bit smaller, but there's lots of fun layering to be had when using the wreath stamp.  Here I stamped it in Soft Stone ink and stamped the "thinking of you" sentiment over the top in Stormy Sea ink.

I diecut several of the leaves and flowers from the Detail die set and stamped them with the images from the set.  I finished it off with a little Berry Sorbet scalloped border, cut with the Cover Plate: Pretty Frame die, and a strip of Stormy Sea striped paper.

My next card uses the new Inspired: Praise stamp set and coordinating die.  I stamped the "Let everything that has breath..." sentiment (one of my favorites!) with Soft Stone ink inside the square frame from the Don't Forget to Write kit.  I added the "Praise" diecut to finish the verse.  I totally love these frames from the Don't Forget to Write kit and I can't stop using them!  Here I ran it through my machine a second time after diecutting it, this time with my embossing mat, to get that pretty beveled edge.

I embellished the frame with the Paper Clippings: Thinking of You Detail dies, and also a few of the small flowers and butterflies from the the Color Pop: Butterflies kit.  The whole words was layered over some watercolor paper that I watercolored with Raspberry Fizz and Summer Sunrise reinkers.

My last card for today is super simple, yet it might be my favorite for the day.  As with all of the other Paper Clippings dies, you always have the option of doing a little snipping to use bits and pieces.  Here I snipped the sentiment out of the wreath so I could use the wreath on its own.  I used a sentiment from a new set Heather has coming out this month called Walk By Faith, which is filled with beautiful scripture and faith sentiments.  I thought this one would be perfect paired with the birds from Spring Woods.

I kept the wreath diecut all in simple, elegant white.  The birds were stamped in Sweet Blush, Fine Linen, Classic Kraft, and Berry Sorbet.  I stamped some of the roses and leaves from the Paper Clippings: Thinking of You stamp set in the background and at the tips of the wreath twigs using Fine Linen and Sweet Blush inks.  It would make a lovely sympathy card.
