Introducing Bold & Beautiful + more!
April 11, 2016
Hey there and welcome to Day #2 of the Papertrey Ink April countdown! Today's reveals include a new sentiment set I have coming your way this month Called Bold & Beautiful. It features several every day sentiment done in a pretty bold and curvy font.
I also have lots of projects using the other sets that were introduced yesterday.
All of these new stamps, dies, and papers will be available for purchase beginning at 10 pm EST on April 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.
My first card uses one of the sentiments from the new Bold & Beautiful set. I stamped it in Stormy Seas ink.
Under the sentiment I stamped some of the stems, flowers, and birds from the Paper Clippings: Thank You set. I added a bit of shading using a light pink colored pencil blended with gamsol.

Up next is a card that uses What the Doodle stamp set, dies, and coloring sheets. I diecut the solid apple from white cardstock and stamped it with black ink, then colored it with Copics. I layered it over one of the What the Doodle: Apple coloring sheets for a bit of dimension (there's an apple printed on the sheets in the same spot I adhered mine). I also added the small diecut flower from the set to the center for even more dimension. I colored the flowers and leaves with Copics as well.
To create the shading under the apple and flowers I colored lightly with a blue colored pencil, then blended it with gamsol and a blending stump. The "just for you" sentiment is from the new Keep It Simple set coming out this month. I love that font! I added a strip of red patterned paper to the top and bottom of the colored panel, which is from the Nostalgic Notions paper pad.

Next is a card using the new Paper Clippings: Thank you die. I diecut it from Linen cardstock, then added lots of color using colored pencils blended with gamsol.
I layered that jumbo diecut over the Blue Skies Cover Plate cut from Lovely Lady cardstock, with the Blue Skies Rays die peeking out over the top. Just a fun and colorful card!

My last card for today uses the new Inspired: Faith along with the new Friendship Jar Flower set. I stamped that pretty flower bouquet along the right edge of my card. I stamped the leaves/stems with Mint Julep, sponged with a bit of Green Parakeet ink, then added some shading using colored pencils. I stamped several of the flowers from the set in Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Spring Rain, and Winter Wisteria inks. I added some shading behind the bouquet using a yellow colored pencil.
The sentiment was stamped using the new Inspired: Faith set and Stormy Sea ink. The pretty border along the bottom was cut using the new Cover Plate: Delightful die. I also added a butterfly from the new Color Pop: Butterflies kit, which you'll be seeing much more of real soon!
