February Release in Review...
February 15, 2016
Can you believe we're at the end of the big 9th Anniversary Celebration already!? It's been fun. :-) Tonight's the big night when all of the new stuff will go up in the Papertrey store. I can hardly remember what we saw on Day 1, can you? lol. But have no fear, Nichole will be posting everything on her blog for you to ponder over today!
I just have a couple more projects to share that didn't make it onto the blog this week.
First up is a card using Maile's new Splits set. This is going to be a fun monthly series...I'm looking forward to seeing what else Maile will add to the collection. This first one is so pretty. I heat embossed it with gold and layered it over a background I created using the Color Pops Floral kit. That frame gives it the look of some luxury stationery.
I inked up the sentiment with Berry Sorbet and Autumn Rose inks to give a shaded look. I added a few of the little flower trios and some leaves from the Color Pops kit too. Underneath the Splits Frame is a stitched banner from the Tag Sale: Quilted set and around the whole card is that famous eyelet frame again, from the new Cover Plate: Pretty Frame (intervention time!!)
Supplies not linked, but available on February 15th from Papertrey Ink: Splits: Just a Note stamp set and coordinating die, Make it Market: Color Pop Florals Mini Kit, Cover Plate: Pretty Frame die
My second and final card for today uses Heather's new Be set. Such fun little flowers and sentiments in this set. I stamped a whole row of stems, the used the flower stencil from the Color Pop Florals set to sponge some flowers in a rainbow of colors. I topped each one with a diecut flower using the Be dies and stamps.
Along the top I used one of the Modern Background stencils to sponge a rainbow of inks. I finished it with a sentiment that was diecut and stamped using the set. The little banner is from the Countdown Details die set.
