I have two cards today made with Painted Petals. The first is vibrant and colorful.
I just stamped those pretty multi-step flowers and leaves and clustered them over a background that was sponged with Spring Rain ink and one of the Modern Background stencils. And the sentiment is also from the Painted Petals set.

My second card has a much different look...so much softer for a sympathy card. For the large blooms, I just cut them from Linen cardstock and stamped only the detail layer on the petals and left the rest white. I did stamp the dotted detail in the center as well. I used the solid circle that gets stamped in the center too, but I inked up just the edge of it with some Harvest Gold ink.
I diecut and stamped some leaves with Mint Julep ink and also diecut more from watercolor paper and used my Zig pens and a waterbrush to add some soft color. The background was done by sponging some Sweet Blush ink, then placing one of the Modern Backgrounds stencils and sponging a little more Sweet Blush to get just a subtle tone-on-tone pattern. The sentiment was stamped in Autumn Rose and Lavender Moon inks.
