Introducing Petite Places: Barnyard...
December Release Wrap up...

Love All Ways...

It's the last day of product reveals for the December Papertrey Ink countdown!  Tomorrow the products will be shown in full on Nichole's blog and then they'll go up in the store for you to shop at 10pm EST tomorrow night.

Today is another group post, this time featuring some Valentine sets...the December release wouldn't be complete without a few Valentine offerings, would it?

I'm excited to showcase the next installment of the Pin-ups kits...this one with a Valentine theme!  There have been lots of requests for this, and I think it will be fun to use for quick and easy treats for the kiddo's classmates, etc.  This Valentine version features a skunk, a fox, a raccoon, and a boy and girl.  I think the applications go beyond Valentine's day too, which hopefully you'll see too as we get to the projects!  Just like the other Pin-Ups kits, this one has stamps, dies, patterned papers, and assortment of printed glassine bags, clothespins, and a cute valentine baker's twine.

The other set the team is showcasing today is called Be Mine, Valentine...designed by Dawn and filled with some super fun illustrations and coordinating sentiments.  This one's going to be so fun to work with!

All of these new products, along with any other product mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase from PapertreyInk.com beginning at 10pm EST on December 15th.

Let me show you my projects using these new stamps and dies...

First, how about a couple of cards using Dawn's new Be Mine, Valentine set.  I chose to work with that super cute retro fan.  Nichole challenged us to create a Valentine project, and then change up a few details to create a card for another occasion.  This first card is the Valentine version.

Fan-love

I layered that cute fan over a Notched Hearts Banner die.  I took the heart cut-outs and kind of scattered them beyond the diecut to mimic the fan blowing them.  I curved the "I'm your biggest fan" sentiment and stamped it with Smokey Shadow ink.  I also added a "love you" below that using the new Keep It Simple: Love set.

Up next is more of an every day version of the card.  I changed up the colors and used the Notched Star Banner die instead of the hearts, along with a sentiment from the Lunchbox Love set to create an encouragement card.

Fan-encourage

This time I "smooshed" a rainbow of inks onto a piece of watercolor paper before diecutting it with the Star Banner die.  I did the same thing as I did with the hearts above...scattered them above the sentiment.  I changed the top border to the Star Border die to go along with the whole star theme.

Next, I have a few projects using the new Make It Market Valentine Pin-Ups Mini Kit.  Nichole challenged us to do the same with this set...create a Valentine project and then change up a few details to create an every day project.  First up is the Valentine version.  I just did some simple candy wraps using the colorful bags included in the kit.  There are five different characters in the Valentine Pin-Ups set and I used them all here...

Here are some close-ups of each of the characters.  The treats were super easy to put together.  I just filled the bags about half-full with candy and then folded them in half and wrapped each one with a strip of patterned paper and some of the cute red/pink twine from the kit.  Then it was easy to just clip the decorated clothespins to the strip of paper and clip the tag on as well.  I used all of the pre-printed characters here and just diecut them, but you could do this with the stamps in the kit too, or course.

Here's the fox and his "hey Foxy" tag, which was cut using the cute tag heart die included in the kit...

And Mr. Raccoon who is, of course, guilty of stealing all of our hearts.  He looks a little sheepish, doesn't he?  :-)

And the skunk, holding an envelope that's "scent" with love...

And then we have this little Romeo, holding a rose...

And finally, this sweet girl...

Like I mentioned, Nichole challenged us to take our Valentine project and change up a few details to create a project for a more every day application.  I had fun with this!  If you look through your stamp and die collection you might find some fun things to embellish these guys with. I knew I wanted to dress up the boy and girl for a birthday party.  I used the Balloon Strings die along with the balloons from the Heart-2-Heart #2 set to create a cluster of balloons for them to hold.

The tag was created by stamping the "a little something..." sentiment from the In the Bag set onto a Limitless Layers 1 3/4" Circle diecut.  I added the little "happy birthday" banner along the bottom, which was stamped with a sentiment from that same set and just trimmed by hand.

I have so many more project ideas for the Valentine Pin-Ups kit, but I'm out of time!  Hopefully I can break out this kit again after the holidays.

To see what the rest of the team did with the Valentine Pin-Ups and Be Mine, Valentine sets, be sure to hop around to their blogs to check out their projects...
