Holiday Style...
October 14, 2015
Well, we've come to the last day of product reveals for the October Papertrey Ink countdown. So far we've covered lots of different looks for the holidays...cute, simply gorgeous, and today's we're covering the trends. Brushstrokes, water color, and metallics are still all the rage, and we've got a line up of products today that embrace these trends.
All of the products mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on October 15 from Papertrey Ink.
We were challenged to make a couple of tags and a card with today's featured sets.
For the card I used the new Wet Paint Holiday tags along with the Star Scribbles stamps and dies. I diecut the circular scribbles from Luxe Gold metallic cardstock and stamped it with the coordinating image using Versamark ink. Maile had a DT Tips post about this technique a while back and it's so fun! The Versamark ink leaves behind a shiny impression. Super cool! I layered the Star Scribbles diecut over a panel of gold embossed paper from the new Star Scribbles Foil Paper collection. The sentiment stamped inside is from the Wet Paint Holiday Tags set. I added a few spritzes of gold metallic mist, and a strip of the new Pure Poppy + White Basics paper along the edge.
This first tag uses Maile's new Folded Tags die, matted with a Tag Sale #7 die. The Folded Tag is such a classy looking tag - I love it! It's great on its own, but you can layer it with other things too, like I did here, giving you even more options. It's topped with a flourish from the Star Scribbles set and stamped with a couple of sentiments from the Wet Paint Holiday Tags set. The Tag Sale #7 was cut from the new Pure Poppy + White Basics collection.
My second tag is super simple and uses the Folded Tag by itself. It literally took me just a couple of minutes to make. I diecut the tag from the Star Scribbles Foil paper and trimmed away just the front. I also diecut it from the Pure Poppy + White striped paper, folded it so the strip was on the inside, then layered the foil front over top. The "for you" sentiment is from Wet Paint Holiday Tags. A few gold stars were diecut using the Star Scribbles dies.
Supplies not linked, but available on October 15th from Papertrey Ink: Wet Paint Holiday Tags stamp set, Star Scribbles stamp set and coordinating dies, Folded Tags die, Star Scribbles Foil Paper collection, Pure Poppy + White Basics paper collection
