Quick + Easy Holiday Wraps...
September 13, 2015
Hello again! The team is back today for another group post for the Papertrey Ink September countdown. Today we're revealing all sorts of great products that will make it a snap to create your own handmade holiday tags and wraps.
All of the products mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm Eastern on September 15th from Papertrey Ink.
Let's get right to the projects and I'll tell you about each of the different sets of products as we go along!
First up is a set of tags/wraps using Lizzie's new Ribbon Sliders stamps, dies, and papers. She's made it so easy to create these cute slider tags -- stamp on the diecuts, or diecut some of her pre-printed designs. I created three simple tags/wraps using this collection.
First up is a gift tag/topper using some of the pre-printed Ribbon Slider tags, along with the coordinating die. I layered the slider tag over a Snowflake Medallion and and Scene It: Doily Tag base. I love how these just happen to fit together!
Next is a super simple Slider Tag which I diecut from the pad of pre-printed tags, then stamped with one of the sentiments from the Ribbon Slider Sentiments stamp set. I topped it off with a diecut pre-printed penguin from the Holiday Folk Mini Kit. So quick and easy!
Last is a little wrap I made using one of the pint containers and the Pint Size Wrap die. I diecut the wrap from linen cardstock and stamped it with the polar bear and penguin images from the Holiday Folk Mini Kit before adhering it to the container. I topped it off with a Snowflake Medallion which was attached to a Scene It: Scalloped Tag base. I threaded some twine through the tag base and also one of the Ribbon Slider diecuts -- they're just the right height to fit on the pint containers!
Here's a view of the top of the pint container...the snowflake medallion looks so cute on the top!

Next up is a little grouping of tags which were made with the new Minute to Make: Holiday Tags stamps and dies. This collection includes a set of tag dies, which will allow you to cut three tags with one pass, and two different $15 stamp sets that both coordinate with the tag. The stamps have multi-step designs that make it super quick and easy to whip up a whole bunch of tags.
I kept the design the same for all three tags...very basic, using the stamps from the Minute to Make: Holiday Tags stamp set just as they were designed to be stamped. You could embellish them further with diecuts, etc if you wanted, but I wanted to just keep it quick and easy today! I just mixed up the colors from tag to tag and backed each with a second tag (attached with a brad) that swivels out and has a "to/from" sentiment stamped one it. The bow on the top of the gift was made with the previously released Double Bow die, which I cut from some gold dot glassine paper by Hazel & Ruby.
Next is another coordinating tag, this one made with the new Christmas Tree Change Up collection of products by Erin. This is an amazing collection that will allow you to create treat boxes, ornaments, tags, and more. To really see all of the possibilities you're going to have to hop around to all the DT blogs as we're all featuring a different way to use this collection. I used it to create a simple paper gift tag.
I love the fonts and design of the sentiments Erin included in this set...the multi-step sentiments make it so quick and easy to create multi-colored tags. I stamped the tree in gold metallic ink, then stamped the sentiment in Pure Poppy, Tropical Teal, and gold inks. I added a few sequins to my tree to give it a little holiday sparkle.

My last project for today is a gift card holder using the new In the Bag collection of stamps and dies by Nichole. These are so fun! The little "gift bag" is super simple to assemble, and the perfect size to hold a gift card.
Whew! That was a lot for one post...thank you for sticking it out all the way to the end. Want to see more? Of course you do! Hop around to the other DT girls to see their ideas using these new products...
