SAF 2015: Patterns Challenge...

Time for the next challenge! Up next is the Patterns Challenge. Each member of the DT chose an older project to be turned into a sketch or "card pattern". Here is my sketch...
Based on this project from the February release...
I chose this card because of the stripes...stripes are fun and there are lots of different ways of interpreting or creating them. My first card uses the Over Plate: Horizontal Stripes die along with Graceful Greetings.
I diecut the cover plate from Linen cardstock and then blended some Aqua Mist and Tropical Teal inks, concentrating the color in the upper right side where I wanted to put the sentiment and a cluster of flowers. The "hello" sentiment was diecut from Sweet Blush cardstock using the Graceful Greetings dies and sponged with Berry Sorbet ink. The flowers are from the Graceful Greetings set too. I little bit of black baker's twine finishes it off.

My second card uses some striped patterned paper from the Black & White All Over pad along with the "happy" die from the Tipped Tops die collection. I sponged it with a rainbow of inks.
Instead of flowers I added a cluster of stars cut with the Small Sketched Stars die. The birthday sentiment is from Phrase Play #5.
