Introducing Quilted: Autumn...

Welcome to the first day of the August Papertrey Ink countdown!  Today I'm sharing some projects using the latest edition of my Quilted series...Quilted: Autumn.  As with the other Quilted sets there is a quilt block die and a coordinating stamp set.  The stamp set features all of the quilt pieces done in different patterns, a pretty autumn multi-step leaf and berry cluster, and lots of little fall-ish bits and pieces.

The new Quilted: Autumn stamps and dies will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink store, beginning at 10pm EDT on August 15.

Let me show you a few projects today...I'll have more as the countdown continues (plus I have LOTS of other things to show you!).

First up is a pretty traditional use of the set.  I diecut the quilt block from Rustic White, craft, and various other colored cardstocks.  I stamped the quilt block pieces with the coordinating stamps from the stamp set and pieced them back into the die.  I turned the quilt block on its point, but you can definitely use it straight as a square too.

Sew-Thankful

In the upper left corner is a cluster of leaves and berries, also from the Quilted: Autumn set.  There are dies to match these little images too.  There are two sentiments included in the set.  I stamped the "sew thankful for you" sentiment in the lower right corner to balance off the leaves.

For my next project I formed the leaf design by stamping the quilt block pieces directly onto a panel of cardstock, without using the die.  I diecut the acorn/leaf cluster and stamped it with the coordinating images and layered it over the top.

Hem-cluster

I stamped the "hem your blessings..." sentiment from the set under the cluster.  I stamped the leaf stem twice in each corner to frame everything.  I used a 3/8" circle punch to punch partial circles on each side of the stamped panel and tied some twine around it, then adhered it to a Terracotta Tile base.

My last card for today uses Quilted: Autumn in a little different way.  I snipped the quilt block die apart so that I could use just the leaf portion.  I filled it in with stamped pieces cut from a rainbow of autumn shades.

Quilted-Leaf-Hello

I adhered them to a panel of Rustic White cardstock, letting the left side of the bottom leaf extend beyond the edge of the panel for a little added interest.  I backed it with a Smokey Shadow card base. The "hello" sentiment is from a new sentiment set being released by Lizzie, called Scribbled Sentiments.  I also added a few little berry clusters from Quilted: Autumn, stamped in Soft Stone ink.
