July Release Wrap Up...
July 15, 2015
Well, today's the big day! All of the new July stamps, dies, and papers will go up in the Papertrey Ink store tonight at 10pm EDT. Happy shopping!
I have just a few more projects to share with you as we wrap up the July release.
First up is a card using the Rainy Day sentiments along with the Cover Plate: Rainy Day die and the clouds from So Striking.
I started off by inking up the Cover Plate: Rainy Day diecut with a rainbow of ink colors, applied with my blending tool to create a rainbow background. I diecut several So Striking clouds from white cardstock and blended a bit of ink along the bottom of each. On one of them I stamped a sentiment from the new Rainy Day Sentiments set. I adhered them all to the Cover Plate: Rainy Day background, along with a Cover Plate: Blue Skies Rays diecut. A scattering of rainstones finishes it off and adds a little sparkle.

My second card for today uses the cute little honey dipper from Lizzie's new L'Shanah Tovah set. I went a little bit different route and decided to incorporate it into a card along with the bees and flowers from the Flower Favorites set.
For the sentiment I used a "just because" from the new Keep It Simple: Just Because set and the rest is from the Strawberry Patch sentiments set. I sponged some Simply Chartreuse ink around the edges of a panel of Fresh Snow Linen cardstock. The flowers were stamped with Fine Linen and Summer Sunrise inks, with Simply Chartreuse for the stems and leaves. The sentiments were stamped in Fine Linen and Classic Kraft inks. I added the honey dripper and a few little stray drips of honey scattered through the sentiment. A totally different color scheme than my usual, but I really like how it turned out!
