Introducing Petite Places: Main Street...

Hello friends and welcome to Day 2 of the July Papertrey Ink countdown.  Today I'm excited to introduce the next set of goodies in the Petite Places collection.  This month I designed an "additions" stamp set that coordinates with the previously released Petite Places: Sweet Shoppe die.  This addition will allow you to turn the building into a coffee shop, flower shop, cafe, or bistro. There are lots of fun little accessory pieces as well, allowing you to build all sorts of fun scenes.

The new Petite Places: Main street stamps and dies will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website beginning at 10 EDT on July 15, 2015.

Let me show you a few fun projects using the new Petite Places: Main Street!

First up are a few coffee themed items.  We are coffee lovers around here, so I'm always up for ideas for presenting coffee beans, gift cards, you name it.  For my first project I created a dome topper for a jar of Starbucks beans (our favorite).  The new building images in the Main Street set that coordinate with the Sweet Shoppe die have a fun brick pattern.  I went with the whole Starbucks theme and stamped my building in Terracotta Tile (with the edges rolled in a bit of Dark Chocolate) and added some Pinefeather awnings.

As for accessories, this set isn't short on them!  I added the little bistro table out front of my coffee shop, the vintage car, scooter, and stoplight.

I tied a tag around the jar, which was stamped with sentiments from the Main Street set to say "coffee is always a good idea"...which it is.  I attached it with some green raffia from the Party Pops kit.

Next is a little coffee themed notecard...just a fun way to let someone know you're thinking of them, or it could be an actual invite to have coffee.  I stuck with the same color scheme here as the building inside of my jar topper.

I stamped the "let's do coffee" sentiment from the Main Street set onto a Jar Labels oval tag and placed it on a strip of Pinefeather cardstock below my building.  A couple of little bistro tables sit out front and a few Scene It Skyscapes clouds float above it.

Next I have a super fun card that would be perfect to present to a hostess, or as a thank you for a fun night out.  I combined the brick building front and accessories from the Main Street set with the previously released Sweet Shoppe set to create a line-up of adorable eateries.

Good-food

The details are what really put it over the top...the different awnings (a combination of those from the Sweet Shoppe set and the Main Street set), the window art, and even little flower boxes!  I stamped the "good food is better..." sentiment from the Main Street set onto a Jar Labels II oval diecut and layered it over a striped strip (Love You to Pieces: Airplane), and finished it off with a thank you sentiment from the Keep It Simple: Thank You set. A few little clouds from the Scene It: Skyscapes dies are floating over head.

Next up are a couple of flower-themed projects.  Petite Places: Main Street lets you turn this little building into a flower shop as well.  For my first project I filled a repurposed empty jar candle into a pretty floral gift, perfect for a birthday, hostess gift, or just about any other occasion.  I simply floated a pretty pink rose and some greenery in a bit of water and topped it with a globe filled with a flower shop scene for a fun presentation!

The little building images in the Main Street set even feature window boxes that can be stamped with colorful flowers!  I filled the globe with some Terratextures and flower sequins.  The "fresh flowers just for you" sentiment from the Main Street set was stamped onto the Scene It: Basic Backer before the globe was assembled.

The recipient can easily remove the lid and enjoy the fresh blooms...

Next up I used the Petite Places: Main Street set to create a tag for a jar full of fresh flowers.  What a fun gift to brighten someone's day.  I started off with Tag Sale #10 for my base and then filled the little opening with a scene I created with the Main Street set.

The "fresh flowers" sentiment stamped on a Jar Labels diecut is the perfect finishing touch.  I tied it to a pretty jar using some of the raffia from the Party Pops kit.

Lastly, we are acquiring quite the collection of tiny vehicles with all of the Petite Places sets, and I thought it would be fun to put a bunch of them to use on a fun birthday card that any little boy (or big boy for that matter!) would get a kick out of.  The Petite Places: Main Street set brings us a couple more modes of transportation - a retro car and a scooter.  I used them here along with the pick up and firetruck from City Station, and the bicycle from Sweet Shoppe.

Out-of-town

I used my favorite method of road building for my little scenes - the dotted stripe from the Plaid Build set.  I stamped it several times onto white cardstock and trimmed them apart so I could create a whole mess of streets.  I put all of my little vehicles on the roads and accented with a few Pop-Up Tree diecuts and the stop light from the Main Street set.  The "it's your birthday" sentiment is from last month's Good Times set and the "get out of town" sentiment is from the previously released Get Lost set.
