Introducing Morning by Morning and Graceful Greetings dies...

Hello and welcome to the first day of the July Papertrey Ink countdown! Each month on the 10th through the 15th, the Papertrey Ink team showcases projects featuring all new stamps, dies, and papers.  All of the new items shown today will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website beginning at 10pm EDT on July 15th.

So, a few of my new stamps and dies are being featured in today's post!  I have a new floral set coming out called Morning by Morning and it features a pretty morning glory vine, some individual morning glory bits and pieces so you can build your own designs, and a couple of pretty sentiments.

I also have some new dies being featured today...dies to match the previously released Graceful Greetings set - yay!  There are dies for each of the four sentiments in the set, as well as all of the little flowers.  So excited about that!

So let's get on to the projects...

First up is a card that uses both the new Morning and Morning set and the new Graceful Greetings dies.  the morning glories in this set really come to life when you ink them up!  I had fun playing around with all sorts of different ink colors, along with the "rock 'n roll" technique to add even more shading and dimension.  For the blooms here I used Winter Wisteria, Royal Velvet, and Spring Rain, along with a little yellow copic detail in the center of the open blooms.

Glories-thanks

I used the assembled bouquet and die and layered it over the scalloped rectangle from the Make It Market Nostalgic Notions kit, which I sponged with Aqua Mist ink.  The stamped and diecut "thanks" sentiment from the Graceful Greetings set finishes it off.  Everything is layered over a Winter Wisteria base.

My mom has a set of vintage felt cutwork pillow tops that feature morning glories cut from black felt and backed with bright purples and greens, which inspired this next card. Morning glories in real life can have almost an electric purple color that's so vibrant, so I pulled out my Neon Purple ink pad from Hero Arts and combined it with Royal Velvet, Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, and Limeade Ice for this vibrant card.

I diecut and stamped up two of the morning glory vines and adhered them to a panel of True Black cardstock, trimming off the excess from around the edges.  I diecut and stamped the "hello" sentiment using the Graceful Greetings set and new dies.  I inked the "hello" with the Neon Purple and Raspberry Fizz inks.  On the side I took a strip of Linen Cardstock and sponged it with the purple and Raspberry Fizz inks and added a bit of black baker's twine.

My next cared is much softer and uses several of the individual morning glory bits and pieces and coordinating dies to build a wreath around one of the sentiments from the Morning by Morning set.  I stamped the blooms in traditional morning glory colors.

Along the bottom I stamped a border which is also new and you'll be hearing more about a little later in the week.  I also added a bit of baker's twine to finish it off.

My last card for today uses just the Graceful Greetings set and the new coordinating dies.  The color scheme was inspired by the wallpaper in this photo...

I started off with a panel of Pinefeather cardstock (this color grows on me more and more as time goes on!) and layered the "happy birthday" sentiment from Graceful Greetings over the top, cut from Sweet Blush cardstock and stamped with Berry Sorbet ink.

Then I added a bunch of diecut and stamped flowers and leaves from Graceful Greetings, done in Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice, Ocean Tides, and Aqua Mist.  I just love that color combo with the Pinefeather!  I inked the edges of the Pinefeather panel just a bit with a gold metallic ink pad and then adhered it to a Rustic White card base.
