Daydreamer Revisited...

It's July 1st and that means it's time for a Papertrey Ink Sr Team challenge.  Each month we dust off an older set and bring you some fresh inspiration.  This month?  Daydreamer.  It's a pretty, classic floral set filled with possibilities.

I created a couple of new projects for you using the Daydreamer stamps and coordinating dies.

For my first card I combined some of the pretty blooms from the Daydreamer set along with the Shaker Shapes Circle die.  I started by diecutting the Shaker Shapes: Circle from scrap paper and using it as a mask to sponge some Sweet Blush ink.

Then I added the diecut circle frame, popped up with some foam adhesive.  I diecut and stamped several blooms and stems from Daydreamer using Berry Sorbet, Autumn Rose, and Sweet Blush inks, and clustered them around the circle.  I double-stamped some of the larger blooms with the smaller coordinating blooms to add a bit of shading and interest.  I stamped one of the sentiments from Daydreamer on the inside of the circle using Scarlet Jewel ink.  The berries were stamped with Aqua Mist ink and I added a little dot of darker color to each using a Copic Marker.

Up next is a very flower-ful card that involves a simple masking technique using the Daydreamer dies.  I started off by stamping the flowers in the foreground and worked my way backwards, masking off the blooms I had already stamped by covering them with diecuts cut from scrap paper.  It was kind of fun to watch the field of flowers come to life!

I added a sentiment diecut using the Scripted Dies.  I sponged some inks onto it for a rainbow effect and adhered it to a piece of tan foam which I cut using the same die.

I enjoyed breaking out this pretty floral set and just playing around.  Want to see more fresh inspiration for the Daydreamer set?  Be sure to hop around to the other girls...
