Introducing Petite Places: Happy Camper and Stacked Statements...

Welcome to Papertrey Ink countdown day #2!  I'm so excited about what I have to show you today.  :-)

Petite Places is packing it up this month and hittin' the road, Jack.  :-)  This month's Petite Places is a sweet little vintage camper, complete with a retro station wagon, Adirondack chairs, a campfire, and more.

I've also designed some new Scene It dies...this set is called Scene It: Mountain View.  They coordinate perfectly with the Petite Places: Happy Camper set for use with the clear domes, as well as all of the other Scene It/Petite Places products.  It's a set of three dies - two mountain layers and a tree/hill layer.

The other stamp set I'm showcasing today is called Stacked Statements.  It's a collection of four different bold words stacked up in a fun font, with lots of smaller companion sentiments that when combined with the larger words it covers just about any occasion under the sun.

All of the new stamps and dies I'm showing today will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website beginning at 10pm EDT on June 15th, 2015.

Before we get to the projects, here's a little video I put together that shows you how to assemble the Petite Places: Happy Camper...

Now for some projects, yeah?  First up, let's look at a dome I created with the Petite Places: Happy Camper set...done up with all of its fun little details.  My parents just finished remodeling an old camper and turning it into an adorable little glamper...I made this for them to put on display in their little home on wheels.  The inside of their glamper is all done up in red and aqua, so I think this will look so cute!

There is a tiny banner that can be strung across the camper - I diecut it from white cardstock and just added color using my copics.  The rest of the camper was stamped in Aqua Mist.  It's hitched to a retro station wagon, stamped in Pure Poppy ink.  There's a little stack of suitcases that can be added to the top of the wagon if you wish.  I also set up camp with a couple of red adirondack chairs and started a little fire.  Marshmallows anyone?  I used the trees from the new Scene It: Mountain View dies by simply snipping the smaller tree off of the hill portion, leaving just a bit of excess that I could fold over and adhere (they're a little too tall to fit upright in the domes, but I just snipped the tops off and they worked perfectly).  I topped the dome off with a sentiment from the Petite Places: Happy Camper stamp set, stamped onto a Jar Labels 2 diecut. I used a wood slice as my base, which I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

Up next is another 3D project.  This time I used Happy Camper to create some toppers for s'more kits.  These would be fun to give to someone going off to camp, or a little hostess gift, or even a party favor.  I started with some clear 3"x3" boxes I had in my stash and filled them with graham crackers, chocolate bars, and marshmallows.

Then I used the new Scene It: Mountain View dies to create a backdrop for my little camper.  I scored the mountain portion of both mountain layers so I could stand them up.  I layered them onto a Scene It: Scalloped Tag base which was a perfect fit for my box.  I also diecut the hill/tree layer, trimmed off the other tree, bent the single tree up and adhered it to the tag base.  I stamped the "enjoy the journey" sentiment from the Happy Camper set on the hill and parked my little camper in the middle of the scene.  A strip of cardstock stamped with Plaid Builder wraps around the boxes and through the slits in the tag base to hold everything in place.

Next I have a few flat projects, using just the camper front.  As with all of the Petite Places, the Happy Camper set is designed so that the front can be used alone for flat projects.  First up is a retirement card that uses the Happy Camper set along with all of the layers of the new Scene It: Mountain View die collection.

Retirement

I used this stacked scene on a card, but you could use it with the clear domes as well.  All of the layers stack to create a perfect scene - so easy!  I also tucked in the sunrays and a few clouds from the Scene It: Skyscapes die collection.  Everything is layered over a Scene It: Basic Backer die.  The "let the adventure begin" sentiment from the Happy Camper set is stamped on the center mountain using Fresh Snow ink.  Along the bottom I stamped the "enjoy your retirement" sentiment, which is from the On the Links set. The whole shebang is layered over a panel cut with the Cover Plate: Blue Skies die.

My next card is fun and happy.  I stamped several campers in bright colors to create the background.  I also stamped a coordinating plaid using Plaid Builder.

Camper-thanks

Then I took the "thanks" sentiment from my new Stacked Statements set, diecut it and stamped it with Simply Chartreuse and layered it over a kraft circle.  I stamped a few of the small accent images from Stacked Statements around it, as well as the "so much" sentiment.  I diecut a couple of trees using the Scene It: Mountain View dies and layered them under the sentiment.  My daughter went camping with friends a couple of weekends ago and I thought it would be fun to send them this little thank you card!

Up next is a card that uses just the mountains from the Scene It: Mountain View die collection.  There are so many great uses for those mountains...they'll be great for masculine cards or encouragement cards.  Here I paired them with the You've Been Framed: Diamond die and a sentiment from the A Little Inspiration set.

Be-strong

I diecut the frame from Canyon Clay cardstock.  After diecutting the mountains from kraft cardstock, I positioned them inside the diamond window of the You've Been Framed: Diamond die to determine how I wanted them positioned, then ran them through my machine again to cut them into the diamond shape.  I sponged some Spring Rain ink onto the background diamond and also to the portion above the diamond.  I layered some clouds in that top portion, which were cut using the Blue Skies dies.

Next I have a few cards using my new Stacked Statements set.  First up is a pretty little number with a bit of watercoloring, some gold foil, and a splash of black.

Happy-day-gold

I stamped the "happy" sentiment from the set onto the coordinating diecut using True Black ink.  I adhered it to a Journal Card diecut which I smooshed a bit of watercolor up in the corner.  I chose to pair the "happy" with the smaller "oh" and "day" sentiments from the set.  I embellished it with a few of the tiny florals included in the set.  I layered this over a panel of Luxe Foil chevron paper.  A bit of black baker's twine finishes it off.

Next up is a little Hello card using the Stacked Statements set. I started off by stamping the "hello" in Enchanted Evening ink and added some smaller accents around it using Spring Rain and Hibiscus Burst inks.  Then I filled in my entire background with the same "hello" sentiment stamped in Sweet Blush ink.

Just-a-note-hello

I trimmed the panel down so it was slightly narrower than my Spring Rain card base.  I tied a bit of navy baker's twine around it before adhering the stamped panel to my base.  You could do this in any color combo you wish for all sorts of looks!

Well, that's going to wrap up my projects for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more Petite Places: Happy Camper and Stacked Statements projects. Tomorrow's also a group post, which is going to be super fun!  But for now if you're in the mood to see more, Dawn is sharing some Stacked Statements projects, and Nichole will have some using Petite Places: Happy Camper as well as Stacked Statements!
