Enjoy the Ride Revisited...
June 01, 2015
Hello June and Hello Summer! We have entered the summer zone here...ready or not. :-) Today's the first of the month, which means the Papertrey Ink Sr Team is back for another challenge. Each month on the first, we pull out an older Papertrey Ink stamp set and bring you some fresh inspiration. This month we're featuring Enjoy the Ride.
I created two new projects using the Enjoy the Ride set. I had fun thinking about who or what could be riding in the car, or what (not who!) could be stacked on top. :) First up is a birthday card that would be perfect for just about any little boy. I pulled out the cute puppy from Tiny Treats and put him behind the wheel.
I stamped the car and dog several times using Soft Stone ink on a Rustic White background. I just used a sticky note to do some simple masking on the dog. I added the stitched stripe from the Plaid Builder set along the bottom for a road and added the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Enjoy the Ride set. I layered this over an Aqua Mist card base and added a diecut car over the top, stamped in Pure Poppy ink. The dog was colored with my Copics.
Up next is a fun, lighthearted graduation card. I diecut and stamped the card using Summer Sunrise and True Black ink. I tied a stack of school related items to the top...the typewriter is from Desktop Design and the books were made by just cutting strips of cardstock and stamping some stripes on the ends using one of the stripes from Plaid Builder.
I stamped some clouds in the background using Blue Skies and added a little hill along the bottom using In the Meadow dies. The sentiments are also from Enjoy the Ride.
I had fun pulling out this set again and playing around! Want to se more new projects using Enjoy the Ride? You can hop around to the other Sr Team girls...

Oh, and just a reminder...the Make It Market: Nostalgic Notions kit goes up for sale TONIGHT at 10pm Eastern time in the Papertrey Ink store! You can scroll down or click HERE to see my full reveal post. I totally forgot to share the Pinterest board for the kit in my post yesterday! I edited my post to add that link - you can check out my board HERE -- it's filled with inspiring things from the 40s. I also pinned all of the team projects there as usual so you can use it as a reference for project ideas.
