Quilted: Summer and more Plaid Builder...
May 11, 2015
Happy Monday! I'm just popping in today to share a few more projects using a couple of the new sets I have coming out this month from Papertrey Ink. Today's projects use the next installment of my Quilted series...Quilted: Summer and another peek at my new Plaid Builder set. These new products will be available from Papertrey Ink beginning at 10pm EDT on May 15.
First up is a card using Quilted: Summer stamps and coordinating dies. The quilt block pieces are all done in prints that remind me of fresh, brightly colored cotton fabrics. Here I stamped them in Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Spring Rain, and Spring Moss inks.
Besides the quilt block pieces there are a few other fun elements included in the stamp set, one of which is this little two-step flower bouquet. The stem and leaves are one stamp and the blooms are another. I stamped one of the sentiments from Quilted: Summer below the quilt block and embossed the front of my card using the Stitching Impression Plate.

Next is a card that uses the same little flower bouquet from Quilted: Summer along with my new Plaid Builder set. The started by stamping the plaid design on the diagonal, using a few sticky notes to mask off the top portions. I used Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist, and Harvest Gold inks for the plaid.
I stamped one of the stripes from Plaid Builder along the top of the plaid pattern just to give it a finished edge, then stamped the "hello" sentiment from Graceful Greetings. I added a few of the Quilted: Summer flowers in the background. A little twine and one of the diecut flower bouquets finishe it off.
