Love & Marriage Revisited...

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  I'm here today with a Papertrey Ink Sr Team foolin'!  :-)  Each month on the first, the team revisits a previously released stamp set and brings you some fresh inspiration.  This month's feature is Love & Marriage, just in time for the spring/summer wedding season to kick off...

Love and marriage

I created a couple of projects for you today using the Love & Marriage set.  First up is a super quick and easy card.  I used the folded scalloped tag from the Party Pops kit and stamped that pretty tree image on the front, and then just layered it over a standard card base.

I heat embossed the "two hearts..." sentiment from the Love & Marriage set using gold powder.  I stamped the lacy border from the set along the bottom and added a strip of gold cardstock and some gold baker's twine.  Gold with Aqua Mist is one of my favorite color combos for wedding cards.

My next project combines the Love & Marriage stamp set with the Petite Places: Church die.  I thought it was just a match made in heaven.  ;-)  I created a little shadow box just by scoring and folding some white cardstock.  The window in the front was cut with a Journal Card die and covered with clear cardstock.

I used the In the Meadow hills dies to layer some hills in the bottom of the box.  In the very back of the box is that pretty tree image from the Love & Marriage set, along with the heart-shaped silhouettes.  I cut the Petite Places church from white cardstock, assembled it and nestled it in the diecut hills (I just adhered the back of the church to the back of the box).  A sentiment from the Love & Marriage set is stamped along the hills at the bottom.  You can't see it in the photo, but I tossed some heart confetti in the box as well, from the Shakers & Sprinkles kit.  The tiny heart on the church was cut using a die from the Shakers & Sprinkles kit as well.  I tied a little Sweet Blush twill ribbon around the box to finish it off.  I think it could be cute added to the top of a gift, or as a way to present a gift card (could create a little pocket in the backside to tuck a gift card in).
